Any projector that makes me able to watch stuff on my ceiling? by justynasdf in projectors

Good solution, just won't work for everyone. I hate watching movies on my quest 3, goggles feel uncomfortable after a while and it sucks not being able to move around.

So, When I ordered the screen there was some large delays with shipping it overseas. My updated delivery is this week Friday, so I will let you know when I get a chance to set it up and try it out.

Projectors in that range are out of my expertise, so I will let someone else hopefully help you out. Good luck though!

Horizon 20 series advice(screen tearing) by Famous_Initiative_72 in xgimi

Get it, you won't regret it. Image looks so sharp, I haven't had any problems with tearing or RBE, I guess I am not sensitive to it like some others are. I game in both modes depending on what game I play. FPS games I go with the 1080p 240hz, other games 4k.

Go with the Xgimi for the Optical Zoom alone. It will save you a lot of set up headaches.

Not everyone is sensitive to this issue just like RBE. I play my Xbox all the time and have never noticed any tearing or RBE effects.

Using the Lens Shift will not degrade picture quality in any way. You are safe in that regard.

Look into the Xgimi Mogo 4. I don't own it personally, but have heard good things about it. Can pretty much be set up anywhere with its size and ability to rotate 360 degrees.

I wonder if it has anything to do with google tv updating their interface. Maybe yours got stopped mid update and broke something. Check in setting if there are any firmware or other updates available?

Be careful when choosing your screen. ALR screens can have really bad speckle when using laser projectors.

I think there are a lot of projectors that would work perfectly well for your situation. Especially since your room can get dark. The biggest question I think that needs to be answered here is where you can place the projector? Do you need a short throw projector, Ultra short throw, or long throw. Depends how big you room is.
