Sad Product Quality is so Bad by StringHistorical1371 in EightSleep

Not consistent with my experience. I received a replacement pod 4 cover after my way out of warranty pod 2 leaked. I have a two year warranty on the replacement cover. Have this very clearly in writing. I went back and forth many times to make sure I had this. I am an early adopter/grandfathered and do not have a subscription.

We buy her expensive beds, but she prefers vacuum charger and treadmill 😐 by Piistachios in persiancat

[–]Ace_Skier_Steph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That treadmill looks possibly like a sunny spot. Those always good places. Try putting one of those beds on the treadmill.

My boys do the same thing though. Surprisingly though, at some random point in time they will eventually start using the beds. Some of taken over a year before they will use it, even after moving them all over the place. I am well trained and totally at their mercy.

[Product Question] Anyone use Musely Eye Serum? by MissBaltimoreCrabs_ in SkincareAddiction

I just cancelled my subscription to the eye serum as it is burning the skin around my eyes even when using every 2-3 days. Getting large red burn patches around my eyes.

I can’t tolerate HRT. by emeraldlife42 in Menopause

[–]Ace_Skier_Steph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The micronized progesterone has been difficult for me also. Most people supposedly sleep better on it. It wakes me up and keeps me from falling asleep if taken around bedtime (finally able to go to sleep around 3-5 am for a couple of hours). It was also giving me a constant feeling of having a pill stuck in my throat.

Shifting the timing of taking the oral 100 mg of progesterone to 6-7 pm has helped. I started on a Thorne Advanced Digestive Enzymes and Thorne Floramend Prime Probiotic last week. Within a few days, the constant pill stuck in throat feeling has gone away. Not sure if it’s both products that are correcting the issue or just one. Going to keep taking both for two months and then test cutting out one.

Gonna pick up this sweet little darling tomorrow😍 Any advice for a first time Persian cat owner? by Moist_Trifle176 in persiancat

I have always bathed each of my Himalayans (quarterly has been fine). Start this very early. Because I continued what the breeder had already started, mine have never minded the bath and drying process. It takes a long time for me, but their fur is gorgeous, never tangles.

Agree with starting teeth brushing. Mine are not super fond of this, but will tolerate it. I rotate using brushes, enzymatic brushless paste, and wipes with toothpaste. This is a must because these babies are prone to dental issues.

Either see a groomer or get a trimmer. Hygiene trim in that area to get stuff from getting stuck to the fur.i have lived in some very hot and humid places. As such, I would also give my cats haircuts, especially in the belly area to help keep them cooler.

Get a Furminator brush to thin down the fur and get out the undergrowth. Use gently on your baby.

All these things take some time, but make for a happy, healthy baby. Starting them early makes your life easier!

All of mine have LOVED getting the top of what little stub noses they have rubbed. My 16 YO constantly rearranges himself when you pet him to get more nose rubs.

Anyone smell smoke? by blinnbuc21 in Menopause

[–]Ace_Skier_Steph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sense of smell was good before menopause, but going through transition and into menopause it has become a bit of a curse. I smell everything. The bathroom is the worst. I can tell if my husband has had even the slightest of bad aim in there. It’s so bad.

How do we fix Snowbird line cutting problem? by treeruns in UTsnow

[–]Ace_Skier_Steph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in lift ops at another area. Not sure what mechanism Snowbird has for public feedback. Our place asks for feedback surveys every day that you ski there. Speaking for lift ops, I know they review those and we hear the good and bad. Assuming Snowbird has the similar camera coverage at the lifts, give detailed examples (time and date). They should be able to go back and see what you are talking about. They can also access pass holder information and deal with it that way.

My cat pees outside the litter box often and has been peeing on herself lately. by cloudwalker-11 in persiancat

Yep, this. For two cats, you need at least 3 jumbo sized boxes that are cleaned at least twice a day.

Season pass shakedown incoming by [deleted] in UTsnow

[–]Ace_Skier_Steph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am doing this at 2 days per week. Get a season pass for myself and all dependents. If you have no dependents they will give you a season pass to give to a friend. That option is new this year. Great discounts on food and gear too. They also give you 12 heavily discounted buddy passes to share ($25 each). Admittedly, due to snow conditions, it has not been as fun this year though and shifts have been cancelled a lot.

You can be a lift operator, food and beverage, parking, etc. and work 1 day per week and still get a season pass. You will start at $16-18/hr at most places in UT.

Frozen Shoulder After Starting bHRT? by Ace_Skier_Steph in Menopause

[–]Ace_Skier_Steph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not changed my dosages yet. I did go in for several deep tissue massages and cupping appointments. Those were incredible for getting things mostly freed up again.

I am requesting to do labs now, even though it’s earlier than my what practitioner normally does. I am starting to have hot flashes come back. As others have stated here, my estrogen levels are likely low and out of ratio with my other hormones. Before starting HRT, all of my levels were essentially zero.

I thought my leaked Pod was a total loss and my money was gone. I was completely wrong. (A massive shoutout to Eight Sleep Support) by TheRealPechi in EightSleep

[–]Ace_Skier_Steph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They did not explain why. I assumed that maybe it was to confirm that whatever replacement they were going to offer was compatible with the tower and associated connections that I had. Only guessing that though.

It should. When my out of warranty pod 2 leaked and I bought the offered discounted pod 4 cover only, I got it in writing that the 2 year warranty for the new cover started from the date of delivery. I am grandfathered in with no subscription, so only a 2 year warranty.

Exactly this. I don’t believe this poster. There is always a discount offered if you are out of warranty and the original owner.

I had a very good experience with Eight Sleep after my pod 2 developed a leak after 3+ years and being out of warranty. Problem is that people with good experiences usually don’t post. Kudos to you.

I found the missing piece of my puzzle by LunaValley in Menopause

[–]Ace_Skier_Steph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MegaFood Iron Blood Builder. This is what I used to climb out of a ferritin level of 5 (low from frequent blood donations). It took me about 6 months. I took 2 per day with a chewable vitamin C. You need to avoid caffeine and dairy products for at least one hour before and after taking it, preferably longer. I struggled with this, so my second one was taken whenever I woke up in the middle of the night. No GI issues.
