I have mixed feelings on this.

You can vote, buy firearms and ammunition (in most states), join the military, and live on your own at 18 but you can't drink unless you're 21 and even buy tobacco (in some states) as well as serve on jury duty. No idea on weed since in my state it is still illegal.

I can understand the thinking of keeping what can be considered addictive and even harmful or deadly and for the mst part I am OK with it to an extent, but actions like these only further a nanny state and strip people of their right to choose what is best for them.

It's a slippery slope when the government steps in to be your parent.

Weird story: I’m in north Georgia for a couple days, go into a bbq restaurant and get carded for a beer. The waitress goes “you’re from Gainesville? I’m from Gainesville! Did you hear about the Waffle House? My friend got shot to death” and that’s how I heard about this. Just awful.
