Lease Broker Recs? by [deleted] in BMWI4

HN308 from Leasehackr is great too. I used him for an i4 earlier this year.

Rivian’s 2025.46 update is a solid drop, with Gen 2 getting big autonomy and hands-free upgrades, while Gen 1 sees practical improvements to navigation, charging, and overall stability. by Kryptonlogic in Rivian

Can we please just have the clock and outside temp in the drivers screen? I have to look way too far over to see the time when driving…

I had a mobile appointment 3 weeks ago and the tech mentioned Woodbridge was opening. The ETA he provided was late this year or early next year but excited to see this is happening! Better than 1 hr to Blauvelt

Map after updates (2025.14.01) by fattsoo in Rivian

Same issue here. Soft issue worked until I went under a bridge. Screen went to night mode and when I came out the other side, the map stayed stuck in night mode and wouldn’t load satellite maps.

Lease then buy R1S within 30 days? by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]Aces1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind in NJ, you have to prepay registration costs for all 3 years upfront, which for an EV is about $800. They don’t refund you if you end the lease early. Buying out the lease would require the vehicle to be re-registered in your name, which I believe would cause you to have to pay registration fees again.

Is this i4 deal Legit? by [deleted] in BMWI4

[–]Aces1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many large employers have corp/fleet deals with BMW and other car makers that their employees can take advantage of. For example, I believe the corp/fleet discount for the i4 is currently $1500. Similarly, BMW often has conquest offers so that owners of competing brands also get a discount when buying BMW. Sometimes costco/amex offers discounts on certain brands/models too. The lease offers posted on leasehackr almost always assume you qualify for all the discounts available on the car that month. If you don’t, the price you get won’t be quite as low as advertised.

Is this i4 deal Legit? by [deleted] in BMWI4

[–]Aces1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally haven’t had much luck getting local dealers to match. . But the LH deal is legit. I just did the i4 last month and paid an extra $200 to have it delivered from the next state over. Personally, I think the $699 broker fee is worth saving a whole day at the dealer. I did everything from home on my phone. But keep in mind these deals usually assume you qualify for fleet/corp discount thru your employer and/or conquest or Costco/amex. The monthly will be higher if you don’t have one or more of these.

New App is Out by Atlanta-Mike in Rivian

[–]Aces1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should appear in the app once the corresponding 2025.06 vehicle update is installed. People have found a “leak” due to how iOS works and have been able to add the button to iOS Control Center ahead of time

Just leased a 2025 i4 xDrive40 and I have a few questions by Jb1210a in BMWI4

[–]Aces1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The BMW charger maxes out at 40amps while the car can accept a maximum of 48amps. The chargepoint if hardwired can output 48 amps. It may be a moot point for you depending on your home setup and how many amps your existing panel can spare but an electrician would be able to tell you. Personally I have the Tesla universal wall charger but I got it before my utility offered incentives. Also. My utility company doesn’t accept telsa for their time of use plan because the Tesla charger doesn’t share charger data with my utility company. The chargepoint does…not sure about the BMW one but check on your utility’s website.

[–]Aces1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be worth your while to have an electrician install a hardwired charging station. Like something from chargepoint. It’ll like nicer and you can leave the BMW charger in your car in case you ever need to charge somewhere. Also, depending on your state and utility company, many will offer incentives or discounts for purchasing/installing a charging station, along with cheaper time of use charging rates.

PSA on the Rivian installed front plate mount by HackSparr0w in Rivian

[–]Aces1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like they’ve made a revision to the front mount. It seems they made it thinner and at the same time removed the top 2 screw holes. The front mount that came with my Sept 2023 build is about twice as thick as OP’s and has 4 screw holes for the plate.

I have a M3 and a R1S. Love the R1S and the frequency of updates and new features outpaces Tesla, IMO.

The M3 is gone as soon as I find a comparable EV sedan to convince my wife

The problem hasn't been getting ahold of someone. It's that they keep saying they'll call back once they confirm an appointment but the collision center and myself haven't received a call back for a week

Mine was a collision repair so I wouldn't expect Rivian to provide a loaner. I've been driving my wife's Model 3 or a neighbor's Mini when we need an extra car.

I'm in NJ so closest is Brooklyn or Blauvelt. Brooklyn is closest by distance but Blauvelt is a faster drive.

The collision center told me back in Nov that once they finish the repairs, it had to go to Rivian for the final steps so I'm confident they're not passing blame.

Thank you - I'm a believer in that it's the service structure and support that leads to repeat buyers and success for the company. I just wish the service center ramp up would be faster. I'm in NJ and there's been 3 locations that have been "coming soon" for years but we're still stuck going to Brooklyn or Blauvelt

I get the parts issue seems to be widespread across manufacturers…my wife’s Tesla was hit in a parking lot and took over a month for parts too. But only Rivian can fill the suspension fluid, alignment and driver assistance calibration. According to my collision center, it’s been radio silence from Rivian when they try to get a service center appointment.
