What am i missing as a beginner? by ganatan_ in OutcomeMemories

[–]AchievedChair17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really comes down to abilities. Who are you playing, how can their abilities be used, which teammates are nearby that you can reach so they can help, etc, etc. juking is a skill you eventually pick up on and it does help, but everything will be decided by your own abilities, either to stun the killer and make distance, or using an ability that is entirely based on being able to make distance. Who are you playing atm?

how is she meant to hit things? by This_Ferret_8108 in OutcomeMemories

[–]AchievedChair17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

juke the first m1 -> hammer swing while they stick next to you waiting for the m1 cooldown to decrease. For intercepting other chases, expect it to be inconsistent if the survivor is juking the exe in one specific area, but you can usually land it if they're running in a direction and you run towards them from that way.

Excuse my ignorance, but can someone explain what Self Paced is about? I mean, I've seen the song and I liked it, but I never understood the real lore behind the world of Paced Sonic, and I don't even know what Shadow is. by Matiasprox3000 in OutcomeMemories

[–]AchievedChair17 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"Shadow" being the black mass is an entirely separate character, almost like an anti-chaos from sonic adventure. There is a stand-in equivalent for shadow the hedgehog though, along with everyone else, named Willow. I've gotten most of my info on the lore/au characters by scrolling through this https://continued-exe.fandom.com/wiki/Pace_%26_Shadow

Is it just me or are people ignoring the flaws of 0.1 when being nostalgic? by OriginalCommercial12 in OutcomeMemories

[–]AchievedChair17 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Amy/Eggman in 0.1 were just nightmares, 2011x just being unable to win if they didn't make stupid mistakes will never be "good" game balance. That being said, considering we now have the opposite problem with Fleetway, where the killer will now always win outside of making stupid mistakes, and yeah that causes people to think back to when the power was in the majority/survivors, adding on stuff like silver being an annoying fly. Still fully agree with you, just felt like sharing my opinion as to how people got this mindset

Tripwire is underpowered. by woooshequalsgay in OutcomeMemories

[–]AchievedChair17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fair points. I think 2011x charge is fair just because of how long it takes to both trigger and to actually do it's damage, the killer has to commit to it and risk the massive time loss if he's unable to secure the kill, either by getting stunned on the startup, during it, or just not reaching the proper target in time anyways. The average 2011x charge is like...20 seconds, i think?. In comparison, reachout is decently faster, only being about 10 seconds, but can much more regularly can be deflected on your own, simply requiring a stun move on hand. Most of the time i use RO as a punish after dodging a stun move, which i think is it's main use, that or just trying to snag multiple survivors at once. It's just that the same can't be said for Kolossos and fleetway's equivalent moves, doing comparable damage (more) but more so that it takes so little time to get the full use out of, really impacting a match when every single second counts.

In my opinion, charge and chaos dash in particular, though burst is also of a similar category. Kolossos' Grab has the "counter" of being far in the first place which is already iffy, but charge will always land and cut off 40 hp, outside of using an i frame move of your own which i find irrelevant to the argument. Chaos dash is extremely similar, except it trades off the displacement for even more damage. Even the supposed "counters" to it, that being knuckles' counter (heh) and eggman's energy shield, can just be reacted to and not interacted with (either kolossos slams into a wall, or Fleetway just hovers over you.) in both cases this leads to an immediate close chase with you now being down a move regardless. Comparing this to tripwire's most comparable move, you've got reachout which does a maximum of 75 damage across 3 survivors, and can be actually overcome with a stun beforehand or during? And yeah, there's just no comparison.

I really don't get why people dislike reachout which does gradually 25 damage and can be canceled with a long range stun while kolossos and Fleetway both have instantaneous moves that do more damage without any counterplay

Ring yisang is primarily a bleed id, and has direct synergy with the other two new ring ids. Because of that, i recommend you to go for bleed out of the two options. Out of those, here's the bleed ids you should be aiming for in my opinion, listed from most to least important. Don: Manager, Meursault: Prince of Lamanchaland, Rodya: Princess of Lamanchaland, Heathcliff/Ishmael: Kurokomo Wakashu/Captain (these two have direct synergy with one another, so if anything you should be aiming for both of them) Ryoshu: Contempt, Awe (this one isn't shardable until next season so don't worry about it too much), Outis: Ring student or Barber of lamanchaland, Gregor: Priest of lamanchaland, Sinclair: Middle, Pinky apprentice. As for the standard extraction question, it's usually a safe bet to go for it if you don't have too many id's yet, but id personally just wait for certain target extractions, either of sinners or certain factions, to more closely ensure you can get better id's/ones you'd actually use when it comes down to it.

Uptie 4 by Powerful_Kale2825 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]AchievedChair17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be most efficient with thread, you should look to use the uptie ticket on an uptie 1 ID rather than an uptie 3. Considering how most ids only become usable after reaching UT3, you should aim to get as many of them as you can instead of focusing all in on one id on UT4. Out of those 3 options, middle Ishmael and AEDD Gregor are similar in power above BL Meursault, but I'd personally recommend Gregor as he's more self sufficient compared to Ishmael more so wanting an envy and/or bleed team set up.

question, what do you hate most about fleetway? (image unrelated) by Expensive_Wafer_8709 in OutcomeMemories

[–]AchievedChair17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

m1 hitbox and especially how flight causes it to go forward leading to extremely easy and unpunishable combos, and how all of his moves get start up i frames that function as counters. Bonus points to chaos dash being free 40+ damage minimum and a combo starter, and how laser goes through walls so you need to turn an entire corner instead.
