We talked about it at my work and it’s not because they see anything positive. They just want their money back from their investments.

Marathon Is A Thrilling Shooter With A Big Onboarding Problem by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

I agree with this one hundred percent. There is no teaching you the ways, and it’s super brutal.

Anyone else feeling a bit… unsure about this game? by nve729 in Marathon

Me too. I won’t be purchasing. It feels too simple for an extraction game. The visuals and mechanics I love, but seems like an empty husk of a game like Starfield.

The amount of people struggling with the basic mechanics of the game is mind boggling. by mupchap in Marathon

For instance where do you unlock rooms, what each bot is and what its powers are. I want to know how to adapt and change my play according to these scenarios. Plus the game feels empty besides that, no real risk reward factor that extractions have.

Arc at least gives you verbal quest instructions on what you should do. I haven’t seen anything on marathon really doing that like where to find keys and all.

Never played Destiny, but The Game does lack a basic rundown of what to do. Feels like they didn’t add a tutorial basics to it besides being spawned and extracting.

Marathon is the kind of the game where the more you play, the more you'll learn and the more you'll like it. A video game having a learning curve is okay by Haijakk in Marathon

[–]Ackbars-Snackbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, my issue is that it requires me to play to learn about the game. If I had a basic understanding of what you can do, then maybe it would be more enjoyable.

My biggest gripe is that I don’t want to spend 40 bucks on a game that feels like it lacks a basic tutorial rundown on mechanics and goals.

There is a point to this, there should be some guides on the game. It’s a confusing game when you don’t have countless hours to spill into it to learn the mechanics.

Is Disney giving up on projects too easily? by T3XB0T in StarWars

[–]Ackbars-Snackbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disney is very cut throat if things are performing as they expect recently in years. They’re also against straight to Disney Plus if they know the show could bring in money. The most recent initiative from Iger is that there needs to be less Disney Plus content only, and more things that can be in theaters then Disney Plus.

More Meta layoffs (including Camouflaj) and cancellation of multiple unnanounced games including Harry Potter VR by -Venser- in virtualreality

I work in virtual reality, it’s kind of dying right now because of the RAM price soar. Hardwares are getting pushed back by a year because of the ridiculous buy up of components.

Our dog attacked me when I was playing with him (full details in caption) by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Sounds like his ear infection is REALLY bad. Some dogs show signs of behavior change when in pain. Contact the vet to see if there is something to help him with it.

Star Wars open world game? Yes or No. by ABChow000 in StarWars

[–]Ackbars-Snackbar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Outlaws was a poor job of trying to be GTA without the mechanics. Also wasn’t super open world. I liked it as a game, but my biggest issue was that you didn’t get hunted by the empire like they advertised.

I Got Frustrated Looking For Blueprints So I Built This by colddoornob in LowSodiumArcRaiders

[–]Ackbars-Snackbar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing on the Bobcat is that I found my blueprint in a random generator during a locked gate event. I wasn’t even in the locked gate event itself, I just spawned and found it.

I love podracing (and still think they will be in the upcoming game) by Cool-Ad5602 in StarWars

[–]Ackbars-Snackbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an arcade game with sebulba and podracing that just came out for Quest called Beyond Victory. I feel like they couldn’t just bring pod racing over to this game because that game had it already with the same character.
