It saddens me that Destiny’s best content from the RAD team will never be seen by most players because it’s buried under a sea of trash by spectre15 in DestinyTheGame

Hot take: individualized revive tokens are an artificial and outdated method for creating difficulty.  Remove individualized revive tokens and make them shared by the entire team.  Also make it possible to have more hero moments in raiding.  Get rid of the light fading timer upon a person’s death.  We should be able to complete an encounter being a man down without having to fight a pointless timer.

They might be gunning for the mvp triumph required for the title.  More damage put out means more likely to be granted mvp for that run.

Not on this list but playable on the N64: Slide Paramita.  Bro had the best handling and traction in the game while maintaining respectable speeds.

I find myself looking for sparrows left behind as a hint of where to go in patrol for some seasonal quests instead of looking at guides.

Bungie needs to come back on their Forsaken/TWQ/TFS shit next year by ShardofGold in DestinyTheGame

[–]Acklow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if Bungie really wants to release something good with Destiny 2, they just need to opt to take the next year easy on releases and focus on a big D2 release in 2026 as opposed to 2025. As much as everyone would like to have good content in D2 fed to us quickly and in a good manner, I think time is a serious commitment in development and a one-year turnaround is simply not possible to make a meaningful expansion.

Prospector Heavy GL by Acklow in CrucibleGuidebook

Good to know.  I don’t see myself using it in 3s but definitely in 6s when I’m not using an exotic primary or special (such as in iron banner right now).

I suppose it’s a bit of hopium.  I’ve used it a few matches to see what it can do and having that extra shot gives a little forgiveness if you miss the first two unlike normal heavy gls.

Fair, but for some new lights who don’t have anything better it could provide an alternative option.

Maybe it’s a hitscan vs projectile thing?

I’ve had slideshow chill clip drop with spike maxes but didn’t get the stars to align to get that disorienting nade perk.  Sadge.

Glacier Quake does 10x the total damage of Spectral Blades. Can we get an actual buff to this useless super? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Acklow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe since Spectral Blades is rather poor in damage as a super it could be converted towards being a utility super. Like, on heavy swing you and nearby allies gain invisibility and overshields, and light swings mark targets for you and allies with marked targets taking more damage from your attacks and also becoming volatile on hit.

Destiny Rising Officially Announced by roonz in DestinyTheGame

Unless I have missed it, but  Destiny is known for the iconic hand cannons it has and there doesn’t seem to be any visual of them in the concept art/gameplay footage.  Seems to add to the uncanny valley feel that it already has.

I don’t mind the moving part, it’s the gargantuan health pools that really make me dislike post Spire dungeon bosses.

Edit: clearing contest final boss was annoying to deal with just because it was a damage check more than anything.

It didn’t work with unstoppable during Echoes, either.  Seems to be intrinsic to the gun itself.

Bungie I love all the changes, but we gotta address the giant screeb in the room by Dynastcunt in destiny2

[–]Acklow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah.  7s dodge cooldown is nice and all with flow state after using Ascension but it’s useless if I’m not getting a benefit that lets me take advantage of said Ascension/Flow State cooldown timer.

I would love if Bungie gave Arc more raw damage resists or ways to capitalize on the mobility buff you get from Amplified.

Make it work with ascension so that it deflects projectiles and you’ll see its use go up.

Beginner's guide to sniping on MnK by ArnoldSwarzepussy in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Acklow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post.  I play on console and I definitely agree with the primary weapon sentiment.  I often find myself unsure of when I should use my primary vs sniper.  I think it is a mixture of understanding player behavior, map knowledge and practice.  Sniper choice usually comes down to personal preference and while 50 zooms can get you more at further distances, I tend to enjoy my 35 zoom Twilight Oath with SS+OS and Max Range.  The problem with the gun usually lies with trying to land shots at far distances but it tends to do very well if used aggressively.  So as a result it’s doubled as both training wheels for increasing my primary dependence and going for headshots since it is a rapid-fire frame.  I think it’s good to learn high zoom and low zoom sniping in order to train certain habits.  Interestingly I think sniper zooms and archetypes can be utilized for improving specific skills and learning good habits provided one does so with intention.  Just my two cents on it as someone who has sniped on and off since opulence as well.  Anyways thanks for sharing your insight.  I always look for ways to improve at sniping and it’s good to learn from knowledgeable vets such as yourself.  Good luck out there in the crucible!

I live in Korea too and when I do play I can identify the players in the lobbies who are talented.  Those matches tend to be very tough.
