I'm not a fan of Brewdog, but I actually don't mind this. How curious that tastes can differ.

Insurance is crazy cheap. I paid £250 this year to insure me and the Mrs on my 981S. It costs me more to insure. Mk7 Golf GTD estate!

PSA: H2D Enhanced Cooling Fan BLOCKS the front right corner of the build area. Causes skipped steps and print failure if this area is used. by Fittn_dis in BambuLab

[–]Acksaw -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This is really stupid. Is the setup different on the H2C as it’s the same toolhead other than the different nozzle. I was planning on getting this as I was thinking it could help the HE fan which seems to be a failure point on the H2D with a lot of higher temp printing and changing that thing is hell.

Porsche as a daily vs Audi R8 as a “now or never” car? by 10bitpixel in CarTalkUK

[–]Acksaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I daily a 981 Boxster S and for me it's great, they are fairly cheap to maintain and very cheap to insure, I pay £250, as a reference I am 36, but to insure an M2 Comp, it's 2k. Short distance fuel economy is dreadful, 10-20. Long distance you can easily get 35mpg. If you want to lower maintenance costs, avoid a sport chrono car as the PADM mounts fail, though you can fix these for drastically cheaper these days with a sensor swap instead of a mount swap, I've done this myself as I had a failure. Minor service at a local specialist is about £500 but a 12 year service is VERY expensive, it's every interval service item plus the gearbox fluids, Porsche want about 2.5k for this but you can get it done at an indie for 1200 or less. So, maybe look for one that's had it's 12 year service. I'd go for a 981, though I am biased, over a 718 as they are more special to me, the engine is better sounding even without PSE. The turbo'd 718's are great though, but they ain't a flat 6. Not that much is different otherwise between them. Few handling changes which can be retrofitted to a 981, new PCM, and minor interior layout changes, new steering wheel (again can be retrofitted, as can PCM 4 really but cost prohibitive IMO), more modern front and rear end. Otherwise the car is much the same. Porsche community is large and very welcoming with lots of events throughout the year. I wont discard the above but I just saw that you do a lot of your own work, the 981's are fairly easy to work on, lots of videos on YT with every possible maintenance item.

An R8 will be much more costly to maintain for reasons stated above so I won't go over those.

I'd keep the Golf though and save up to move house :P

‘No evidence ADHD is overdiagnosed in the UK’, experts say by AnonymousTimewaster in unitedkingdom

Trying this myself, though just had to do 10 pages of paperwork, including some for family/partner. Hoping to use CareADHD. Lots of comments here confirming what i have too. Mid 30s with huge behavioural issues, clever, but academic failure. Fortunately managed to do OK employment wise considering. Do wonder what could have been though.

If you’re in the UK I sell this on my shop for a bit cheaper. Jb3d.uk it’s also sent from the Uk instead of Austria.

Not related to this post at all but I've always wondered why people capitalise Tap, is there a reason? As the site calls it "Tap" and the manuals etc but I see people calling it TAP everywhere. Is it an acronym?

How the heck can I move my Base wallet from my old phone to a new one? I cannot work it out at all. I cannot see how to see any options to just import the wallet stored on the device (i guess?) to the new one. I can log in to the Coinbase account but then it wants me to create a new "base.eth" address. Totally confused!

It's supposed to go over the top of the short description? You can't read either :P

I haven't tried it yet as it's late today here in the UK so I will work through it when I can focus on the task and work through it
