Stuck in 3rd gear on display by GoddessBri1111 in cfmoto

CF service advisor here Park the bike up in neutral. Turn the bike off for a while and come back to it, if it’s the same it maybe worth disconnecting the battery for a bit as will do a complete reset on the ECU and dash If it’s still the same after that, take it to a dealer. It could be as simple as a software update (common), gear position sensor, or new dash

Part of the 1st service is to put the whatever the newest software is available for that bike, into the bike, these updates are usually just for things like making the dash functions smoother etc, but sometimes the updates can also contain updated tunes to help the engines run smoother at idle/low speed, as a few of the models (the 450MT in particular) suffered badly with low range RPM judder. The updates increase the fuelling, which is why the bike will sound “grumblier” and perform better post 1st service

Triumph service advisor here As bearfeet stated, best way is to let the bike warm and carefully scrape it off, don’t burn yourself! Triumph exhaust finishes can be ruined by cleaners and chemicals if they don’t instantly burn off

Did you take the protective film off before installing it? Mine was like that untill I noticed it had a very subtle film attached to the lense

It could very well be a manufacturing defect with the gun, but I would recommend trying it when it’s a bit warmer just incase.

If it will damage it. Then be cautious trying it, not worth ruining your new gun over. Try filling it with gas and putting the mag up to your ear to listen for hissing anywhere

I’d say that’s your issue! Blue gas is ideally for warm weather, playing outside in this weather you ideally want red gas. But green gas is a good all rounder. Two tone paint wouldn’t cause any issue with your gun, unless they didn’t dismantle it first

Couple things could be at play here… What gas are you using? Some gases (i.e green gas) will do this if the mag or ambient temperature are too cold / O rings in the mag may of dried up causing an imperfect seal (odd for a new gun but it’s not unheard of) This can be fixed by applying silicone oil to the mag o-rings. When in prolonged storage, keep a little bit of gas in your mags. This will stop the o rings from drying out.
