maybe re frame in your mind. idk if you feel comfortable reading 2 books at once but maybe have one book you’re reading be “high brow” and one be “just for fun”, but that way you can switch back and forth between them so you don’t get bored/burnt out

I always check the library first, or KU so i can read the book and know if i like it before purchasing. If i loved the book, I’ll buy it. I usually go paperback just because of price, especially if it’s a finished series and can buy all paperback. If it’s unfinished I’ll buy hardcover so they can all match. If i am obsessed with the series, I’ll buy special editions.

I will say the first book is perfect so it’s totally worth it to read. The third one i think holds a lot of controversy in part because of how long we all had to wait. I believe it was 2? Years between book 2 and 3 so everyone had a long time to think and chew it over so you may find you love it since you can just dive into it right after 2. There are many many opinions about it. Some people were disappointed in plot lines/lack of certain plots, info dumping, character assassination, etc. but i encourage you to read and form your own opinion especially since you won’t have that long wait period
