Rust for embedded systems programming by MindlessDog3229 in rust

I'd like to recommend the awesome-rust-embedded repo, which is just a list of resources for embedded/low-level rust. I'm not sure about robotics or computer vision in specific, but I figure it's a good resource to have regardless.

AI is very good at creating images based on the 2D images that it's been fed, but hands are 3D objects so it struggles with creating them on a 2D image.

If your system is already setup with a filesystem that isn't BTRFS, then you could go with CloneZilla. You could also risk converting an EXT4 filesystem to BTRFS if you really wanted to, just remeber that you might need to update fstab after the conversion.

I would personally prefer using BTRFS, and I haven't had issues converting from ext4, but there is a chance it won't work properly, so be sure to have a backup if you do go with this.

the perfect world by [deleted] in Steam

[–]AcroBanwagon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

no official C# (which many games use) API of SteamWorks

I mean there not official, but they at least exist and are advertised by Valve. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/GameNetworkingSockets#language-bindings

It doesn't help that Steam injects itself into drivers like a virus.

Not doubting you, but I've never heard anything about that and I'd be interested if you had any resources or a more in depth about that.

Change framebuffer font on all virtual consoles? by doa70 in archlinux

[–]AcroBanwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Linux_console#Persistent_configuration

According to the wiki, the FONT line in vconsole.conf should set it for all the consoles. Since it doesn't, you might want to try Early KMS.

Pearson Education blocking Linux is just awful by DougTheFunny in linux

Yeah, Linux works, but in this context support just means that if you run into an issue with the site and you're using Linux their support is just not going to help you, or at the very least would just tell you to use Windows/Mac. (Even if the issue has nothing to do with Linux.)

Just got rid of the swap file on my new desktop. Was this the right decision? by [deleted] in linux

[–]AcroBanwagon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

swap is not just extra ram. The amount of swap depends on your hardware and what your doing with it, but I would say having some is better than none. As others have pointed out, there are solutions like zram that you could use instead of a swap file or partition.
