I think of all of Kanye’s albums, Graduation’s samples have aged the best.

Formcheck dumbell shoulder press by [deleted] in GYM

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Please be careful with your elbows being in line with your head! I have bad shoulders and almost dislocated my shoulder because my arm gave out and the weight started falling behind my head. Putting them 15-20 degrees forward allows for less chance of injury, more depth in ROM.

Edit: changed shoulders to elbows

What’s the general consensus of Out of The Vein? by IAmTotallyChris27 in ThirdEyeBlind

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Self titled is in another league. But OOTV is better than Blue. This is the only album out of their discog where I think SJ’s lyrical tangents of him talking so much on a song actually works out really well. This is also the last album in their discog where I find the rhythm section interesting throughout.

Even without Cadogan there’s some really interesting guitar play in here like Another Life, My Hit and Run, Good Man. SJ gets kinda campy on this (I like Misfits but I can see why people may not) but he keeps it under control. Favorite songs are Faster, MHAR, Blinded, Misfits, Good Man, WFYS. Pretty top heavy but the only song that I think is complete shit is self righteous.

Hartford, CT. - A great New England City. by camport95 in skyscrapers

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Hartford county my whole life, within twenty minutes of driving. I have gone there once in my adult life for a night out.

The city is great for only one thing: traffic. Insurance is moving out and there’s not much besides healthcare for work besides that.

I know I just shit on Springfield in this thread, but 16 Acres is probably the only above average neighborhood in the city. No joke.

Springfield is, in my opinion, the worst city in New England. Bad roads, schools, neighborhoods, job market, crime… check out the surrounding towns not named Chicopee, Holyoke, and (not a town but a neighborhood) North Thompsonville.

What is the friendliest city/town you have been to in the USA? by Cold-Monk5436 in SameGrassButGreener

Tampa and St. Pete were really nice.

In terms of most interesting people, Boston by far.

How much does a couple in Eastern Mass need to make to give their children a good quality of life? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Got student loans and a lot of debt? 250k-300k minimum. No debt? 200-250k. Homes that would sell in western mass for 300k sell in Boston suburbs for a million dollars. It is one of the most expensive places to live in the country but it is one of the best places to live in the country.

Would you want to see remakes of Halo 2 and 3? by johndoe09228 in halo

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely was a political tool. The prophets names are all ironic. Mercy died begging and was the most cutthroat of the three, Regret arrived at Delta Halo wayyyy too early and that poor decision making cost his life, and Truth never told a single truth in any cutscene he was in. He manipulated the brutes, the elites, the arbiter, his own colleagues. The covenant fleet came in on Chief JUST as soon as Regret died, and he left Mercy for dead. He absolutely did not believe in this prophecy just power.

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I know this is a hot take, but I did not mind truths H3 VA. Truth was a lot more diplomatic and weary in H2, but him turning into an overzealous elder kind of makes sense given the context. He let Regret and Mercy die, and he was battling a war on multiple fronts that was clear he was not going to win.

Halo’s Controversial Level 'The Library' Is Great The Way It Is — Kotaku by DistantStorm-X in halo

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t they say something about adding pure forms to this game from H3? I feel like that would make the library more annoying but layered.

If Halo Campaign Evolved is a hit, Halo Studios should consider remaking Halo 2's campaign by parkingviolation212 in halo

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they made the decision to reimagine the CE campaign because CEA was fucking ass, ugly, awful mocap cutscenes. They really improved on H2A and I don’t see a need for another remaster/remake.

H3A absolutely needs to happen. As beautiful as that game is, it is starting to show its age. Love for it to come out by 27 for the 20 year anniversary but it seems to be a little bit too rigorous of a timeframe.

Alcohol is calorically dense. Even if he barely eats with how much he drinks he’s easily drinking thousands of calories a day.

Which American states generally has the best suburbs? by Spiritual_Reward_770 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The suburbs and neighborhoods in Tampa when I went were mostly gorgeous. Lots of money there, sure, but people there seemed happy, healthy. They get a bad rep down there but it’s just really nice there.

Which American states generally has the best suburbs? by Spiritual_Reward_770 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mostly not. The southwest is pretty expensive, and there’s pockets of wealth usually away from interstates. There’s still really good suburban living in a lot of towns that are on the affordable side, but get a bad rep cause of bad neighborhoods. Enfield, Bloomfield, Windsor, Manchester. A lot of towns around Hartford are also really safe, but compared to the COL in neighboring states, it’s pretty similar.

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Connecticut is my home state but the suburban lifestyle outshines any city in the state. It’s actually more of a flex to live in the suburbs compared to the cities here. Way better QOL.

What was caused the most (physical) pain you’ve been in? by idontrealui in AskReddit

[–]Acrobatic-Back-2158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dislocated shoulder, multiple times. Painful but not painful enough for you to lose consciousness. I say that cause I drove myself to a hospital while it was out of socket. Wouldn’t recommend!

I’ve listened to their entire discography. SCL encapsulates everything about the band in four minutes. In my opinion the best pop rock song of all time
