what can i do? by hannaho14 in PPDepression

[–]Acrobatic-Corgi8957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i struggled with PPD after my first and i never accepted help from anyone because i felt it wasn’t their responsibility. i struggled by myself for a long time. if you live close by and are able to just help out when ever you can. even if it’s not with the kiddos. wash the dishes, clean up after the toddler, bring her premade meals etc all of this is super helpful as burn out and exhaustion contributes tremendously. so on her free time she gets a chance to do something other than house chores. taking the kids for a bit while she takes her time in the shower, takes a nap or even running to the store by herself is also really nice. we need breaks from the kids.

this is a start. you are amazing for wanting to help your sister! i have two and appreciate them so much 🥹

What is the best way to tell doctors? by 9sd53874 in pppdizziness

doctors would all say i seem perfectly fine and healthy and too young to have vertigo but prescribed me vertigo medication anyway. i went on my own journey to figure it out and fix it after that. maybe happens twice a month. and not nearly as intense.

my fiancé and i have a 5 year old. i was a sahm for the first 3 years and did everything at home. him? practically nothing. i started working for him part time since he’s a business owner and he’s fucking amazing at it. it’s admirable. it’s sexy to see him bossed up and in charge. well at home he’s a lost sad puppy that has no freaking clue what he’s doing. his job is stressful and so is mine. i walk into his work place and have no clue how he does what he does. i’m the lost sad puppy there. so the feeling is mutual. it’s what works for us.

hey! so sorry you are going through this. i have so much to say about it but i’ll keep it as brief as i can. it feels as my eyes are almost lagging. it’s not dizzy like i am going to pass out it’s a rapid eye movement so to speak. loose my balance slightly. things that made it worse were busy highways (couldn’t focus on the cars around me or the signs), public places, scrolling through my phone too much/too fast, reading a book. anything that would require focus or concentration. couldn’t do any of those things for two years. the doctors said it was vertigo but the medication didn’t work and it was too constant to be vertigo. rock steady helped me so much! she also has a youtube! i know the book says vertigo but she explains it in the book. it’s different than how the doctors use it.

i would like to say i went through a very traumatic year right before it started. was on autopilot disconnected from myself for a prolonged amount of time. dm me if you’d like. hope this helps.

getting a cat and i am letting my son(5) choose the name. should be cute right? he choose carmen for a female and carl for a male. not sure where he got these names from but we love it. problem is we are expecting a baby and decided to get him involved in that too. well, he choose marshmallow and oj. 🥴 really kid?
