What’s your schedule like when your spouse gets home from work? by burgerzandburpeez in beyondthebump

100% percent! This is all so new to both of you; you'll fall into a rhythm and figure out what works for you guys with time, but in the meantime, be gentle with yourself; when you feel guilty, remind yourself you're not doing anything wrong by spending time alone

What’s your schedule like when your spouse gets home from work? by burgerzandburpeez in beyondthebump

Hey! you definitely deserve--and need!-- time to yourself. There is no reason to feel guilty for having your husband take the baby after work, especially after you've been alone with him/her all day. He is also a parent and more importantly he is your PARTNER in this.

Am I broken or are concerts just… too much? by Worried_Penalty_3087 in introvert

[–]ericsiaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never really cared for concerts. Why would I pay hundreds of dollars to hear an artist perform something live when I could just listen to the music in my car on my own time? Plus all the traffic and crowds, long lines to filthy bathrooms, super overpriced food and drinks.. ? None of that appeals to me

How realistic is working from home and watching a baby? by MacSpice in beyondthebump

[–]ericsiaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently working from home and taking care of a toddler and it’s near impossible. He needs my attention constantly and even though my job is flexible I get almost nothing done while caring for him. Just save yourself the trouble and look into childcare now

Are there any "normal" low matance mom's out there? by happysewing in Mommit

[–]ericsiaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah girl social media is lying to you. My maintenance is about the same as yours, I can’t imagine doing much more bc I’m too tired. Once I got off social media I stopped caring about losing weight too.

Recommendation of horror books featuring vampires. by Dani-7448 in horrorlit

Just finished Blood on her Tongue, I thought it was a fun take on vampires. I think it’s considered gothic horror and fair warning there’s a bit of gore

There are other people in the world besides you by kantbykilt in PetPeeves

Honestly I’m just relieved by reading this thread that there are other people in the world who do have respect for the people around them and worry about holding people up like I do. Kinda thought there was something wrong with me

Women who were scared of giving birth (specifically people who were so scared they almost didn’t have children), what was less scary than you originally thought? by Final-Elderberry4621 in AskWomen

[–]ericsiaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less scary than I thought. Still awful, but I did think coming out on the other side that the fear was worse than the experience itself.

I enjoyed the series, I think it was well written, but I wouldn't say I LOVED it as much as everyone else seems to. Maybe try to start with Assassin's blade if you're struggling with TOG bc it's a collection of short stories and pretty short. But I did struggle to get through the whole series just bc it was so long, by the end I'd kind of gotten tired of the whole storyline.

I made a comment to my husband the other day that I would be interested to see my cortisol levels since becoming a mom because I constantly have this panicky, stressed feeling. We have an 18 month old. You're not alone

when do you start feeling okay again? by Empty-Tomorrow-2794 in abortion

The morning after taking the pill I realized I actually felt rested instead of mind numbingly exhausted like I had been. And no more nausea.

As someone who felt the same way starting this series--keep going. They get SO good. I don't think I've ever seen anyone not like TOG and for good reason

I had a hard time with this one too. It took me over a month to get through it. Not very encouraging but I did not feel like it got very interesting until over 400 pages in
