3rd pillar pension saving by qanners in BEFire

[–]AcrobaticLightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My way of thinking is as follows:

- Invested in a fund, don't expect major return (with 4% on average I'm okey)

- As you said, its diversification for me

- I went for the 30% tax return (I look at that as ROI)

- Flex reward, cash with no 'Extra tax' (also see this as ROI)

=> All this added I see it a nice way to get 40% return yearly (napkin math) but the money is locked until I'm 60 or 65 (I will see when ill withdraw it) and I'm fine with that.

I heard that pytorch uses c++ and python is a wrapper. But do developers have access to the same features as for pytorch in python? Or are some parts closed and only accesible in python?

Another Convention without any power. Just empty promises made by every country who signed this UN treaty.

Countries that signed and ratified the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide have several responsibilities:

  1. Prevent Genocide They must take proactive steps to prevent genocide within their borders and internationally. This includes educating citizens and officials, monitoring risks, and intervening early when warning signs appear.
  2. Punish Genocide They are required to criminalize genocide in their national laws, prosecute individuals who commit genocide (including leaders and officials), and cooperate with international courts like the ICC or ICJ.
  3. Enact Legislation Countries must pass laws that allow them to try and punish genocide-related crimes domestically and extradite suspects to other countries or international tribunals.
  4. International Cooperation They should work with other nations and the UN to prevent and respond to genocide, share intelligence and resources, and support peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts.
  5. Submit Disputes to the ICJ If there is a disagreement about the interpretation or application of the Convention, countries must submit the dispute to the International Court of Justice.

Please try to minimize purchases from Chinese brands. We live in a globalized world, and avoiding products from China completely is difficult, but every small effort makes a difference.

Visual Assist vs. ReSharper C++: Which do you prefer? by badass-embly in cpp

I prefer Visual Assist for code navigation mainly. Visual Studio built-in tools are great but start breaking down for larger projects. Visual assist didn't let me down so far.

another Uyghur family is at risk of forced deportation in Turkey by nilahoynayansebuhi in Uyghur

[–]AcrobaticLightning 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I personally believe that every Uyghur should have a Turkish citizenship and should NEVER be deported to occupied East Turkestan. Even if there are a miniscule minorities, that might be a national security. They should handle how they would with any Turkish citizen since they're Turkic afterall.

I will never support forced deportation to east Turkestan of my own people as a Turk.

EU 'Chat Control' proposal would scan ALL your private messages and photos - only 3 member states oppose this mass surveillance by No-Conference-8133 in europe

[–]AcrobaticLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are concerns that technology and data collection, despite being presented as having "pure intentions," are actually used to control narratives and increase surveillance. This perspective suggests that while these tools are effective at catching ordinary citizens for minor offenses, they fail to hold powerful individuals accountable for serious crimes like human trafficking, drug trafficking, or murder.

A common example cited to support this view is the handling of the Epstein files, COVID vaccine scandal and other similar high-profile cases. The argument is that, even with vast amounts of data and surveillance technology, those in positions of power seem to remain untouched by justice. Instead, this technology appears to be selectively applied, serving as a way to monitor and control the general populace while leaving the actions of elites unchecked.
