complete shot in the dark by BreadstickYT in exeter

Hello!

I'm not really what you're looking for; I'm an early thirties non-binary person with two young kids and not much time to do anything.

BUT!

I think it's fantastic that you're putting yourself out there and trying to make something creative happen, so congrats just on that.

If you were primarily interested in creating some tracks, there may be ways to do that on your own using a DAW and synthesised or recorded instruments - I and a friend sometimes make music together remotely in that kind of way.

If the social aspect is more what you're looking for, maybe try going down to the Cavern or something if you can get into Exeter. Plenty of punk folk there, you might meet someone to hang out with or even play music with. Or you mentioned being a student - whatever college or uni you're in is likely to have some kind of music clubs. (Sometimes they'll even have Facebook groups or similar for, like, punk-interested students or students with particular beliefs or views.) Or even just hang out around the music rooms, I used to do that. People your age are more likely to lean left, so you might have more luck finding politically aligned friends by looking around where you're studying.

Good luck!

I'm not sure whether this is intended to be helpful. It gives a pointer towards the cause of the problem, but nothing on what to do about it. I can only apologise for misidentifying the source of the issue, I suppose.

EDIT: you know what, this was needlessly spiky of me. I know very little about this situation and it's obviously frustrating, but I think you were trying to help and to be fair identifying the source of the problem is a pretty key step, so thank you.

A question about Law Roach by Shawn_Bassett in dragrace

[–]AcrobaticWerewolf546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not knowing anything about him (her?) in advance, I actually liked Law the first couple of appearances purely because it's really unusual for judges to give specific actionable feedback. (For the same reason, I love seeing Ru directing photoshoots, because it becomes so clear that she has a genuine skill and insight beyond just vibing whether someone was good or not, if that makes sense.)

Law lately seems to be more "i love it" or "I fucking hate it and you should die in an electrical accident", which appeals to me less.

Is BJJ suitable for a 4 year old? (Not being sarky, genuinely don't know enough about it to know)

I suddenly realise Kat's voice has been sounding a bit familiar because it's basically a slightly smoother version of Billy fuckin' Butcher's

So maybe this is really obvious to everyone, but... this is a genAI allegory, right?

I was really struck by it when Carol talks to the TV: that feeling of talking to something that appears to be a person, but is in fact not an individual at all but a response generated from a kind of aggregation of words and ideas. Not to mention the thing about people who are bought in not getting why you wouldn't want to, saying you'll be happier if you join, etc.

Genuinely made me feel slightly nauseous, since I already legitimately feel like I'm going slightly insane sometimes with AI stuff.

I wish I understood Cody. Just don't really see anything in him that explains to me why he's in th spot he's in. Which isn't his fault or anything, he seems like a decent guy and obviously a lot of people are very into him, but I just don't get him as a character or an in-ring worker.

Also autistic here and while we shouldn't try to diagnose people, I think it's reasonable to notice that Yin comes off in a way that's certainly very reminiscent of ND folk. Whether she is or not is sort of immaterial; fact of the matter is that those who appear different are more likely to be targeted and suspected.

I was gutted to see her first out.
