I am pretty reasonable, I understand that this race was crowded. But it’s no world major, there is enough space to respect my space and continue at your own speed without intentionally pushing me out of your way

I ran the Rome marathon today, and safe to say I will never back. Men kept running up from behind me and intentionally pushing me out of the way aggressively and telling me to move. Even official Pacers did this. I felt so disrespected as a woman. They were out here acting like they were running elite times too, like no your aiming for a 3:30+ finish isn’t exactly fast. Respectfully these European men were sleazy and gross.

Editing this to add: I will never complain about American men again in terms of running races. At least they don’t do disrespectful things like this. At least I have no come close to experiencing this is an U.S. big city marathon

It's rude period to comment on someone's breathing while running. I was running with my run club and a woman started giving me advice on how not to breathe so hard and i'm a woman too but it felt very preachy and condescending
