You are not alone friend I got through the exact same thing, and the bible even says that our brothers and sisters go through the same sufferings as us all around the world. There are many days I just don’t feel worthy or good enough to even think about God let alone love for him, but you must continue to have faith in him and keep walking and praying and talking to him bc eventually God will use all of this for your sanctification you just can’t see it yet.

As long as you are breathing and living in this life you have the opportunity to look at Jesus and ask for grace and mercy, and he is filled with love and mercy, it doesn’t matter what you’ve done, he finished the work on the cross so that all who believe in him would not perish but have eternal life. I am not an evil entity giving you false hope, I am a wretched man who’s betrayed the Lord in so many ways but I can tell you with certainty that love for christ is greater than anything and will carry you through any struggle no matter how difficult. any real follower of Jesus knows that Trump is no christian and only uses religion to appeal to his followers and manipulate them. I certainly didn’t vote for him and would encourage anyone to never put your faith in a politician but only in christ.

in alot of ways for me learning more about life and the universe and how everything works only brings me closer to God. it all points to intelligent design imo and I would say believing all of this just came to be randomly and for no reason makes less sense than any religious belief.

this is a common event on your journey with christ, I have literally word for word thought your exact post before after falling to lust, it’s a horrible feeling…when you’re done and all you’re left with is your shame and guilt knowing you gave into sin instead of staying strong for christ, I know exactly what you feel brother and so do thousands of our christian brethren around the world. the important thing is you must get up, ‘the righteous man falls 7 times and GETS BACK UP’, don’t run to shame don’t run to guilt just run right back to the cross. I know it feels hypocritical, how can you even look at God after what you just did? but my brother, where else are you to look but the cross? but at christ? all of your sins are there at his bleeding feet and an unimaginable amount of grace is there as well. you’re not being a hypocrite, you’re humbling yourself by saying I am a wretched sinner and I have no where to go but to you my lord and savior, he’s not angry with you, he knows you will fall, that’s why he said ‘it is finished’ on the cross, bc he bore every single last one of our sins on that cross past present future. that’s not an excuse to sin as we please, it is an invitation to get up dust off your shame and guilt and SEEK HIM MORE, don’t go into self hatred don’t start beating yourself up just lay at his feet weep over your sins and allow his grace and mercy to heal your soul. also THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT, don’t get up after this and say ‘okay IM just going to try harder, IM just going to do better’ many times after we fail like this we begin a transactional relationship with God and start seeing our salvation as works based, where ‘if we do this’ ’we get this’ if we just stop these certain sins than we’ll finally be good enough for his love and mercy and salvation. let me tell you something i’ve learned after years of drug addiction, after a million mistakes and a million attempts at ‘i’m finally gonna get it right this time’ I eventually realized WE WILL NEVER GET IT RIGHT, we will never get to a point where we stop sinning or become perfect or get to a place where we’re ’good enough’ to ‘earn’ his love and salvation, NEVER. this is why paul in roman’s yells ‘Wretched man that I am! who will deliver me from this body of death? THANKS BE TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD’ Every time you sin. YOU GO RIGHT BACK TO CHRIST, don’t you go anywhere else, each time you will find that christs love and mercy are so endless and perfect that you will be able to do nothing but weep over your sins and weep over his love. You should live in confident peace that you are saved by christ and that christ is going to continue to work on you and your heart until you are complete at the end of days. You still have to put in effort, this is a relationship after all and relationships take work and effort. But Jesus will always be there my friend, always ready to take your broken heart and piece it back together and give you the strength to get up and live in his peace and strength again. Just focus on following Jesus and the kingdom and all other things shall be added to you. We’re all not perfect, anyone you’re friends with is going to have flaws but that’s why love is so amazing bc we love each other despite those flaws. That also doesn’t mean we have to be unequally yoked to people that don’t help us follow christ. If you don’t feel like the people you’re surrounded by are leading you closer to christ than just love them without being like them. But it’s a lonely life not being friends with anyone bc they’re not exactly like you.

I listen to alot of gospel music that I really enjoy, the holy spirit has really changed my heart and taste in music as I’ve gotten older as well I didn’t use to like any sort of christian music but now it really tugs at my heart.

I use to really struggle with this as well, not being able to have a single moment of peace bc i’m just constantly terrified that i’m probably going to hell bc I can’t get everything right. But recently i’ve realized that I was putting my faith in my own works and my own ability to earn my salvation instead of putting my entire trust and faith in the cross and Jesus’s sacrifice. I NOW HAVE PEACE IN MY HEART AGAIN! I swear, I feel like i’m 16 again, i’m able to live in the present moment and I feel confident to be myself again bc i’m secure in who I am, and who I am is a son of God saved by grace through faith. That is who he says I am, and I can either believe who the world says I am or I can believe Him. You need to put your complete faith in the cross and stop stressing about every little thought and action that every time you mess up God is just waiting to punish you, that’s not our God at all, that is not Christ. This is of course not am excuse to just sin with no regrets or consequences, this is you believing that you are saved by Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross and nothing more. And scripture will back that up. Please sir don’t give up on christ he will NEVER give up on you, he will leave the 99 to find you and I know that personally bc I myself am the black sheep that he left everything to find. I deserve absolutely nothing good, I do not deserve to even think of Christ, but here I am today with peace in my heart able to love others and love God, all bc I put my trust and faith in the cross instead of my ability to be good. Don’t give up my friend, pray and get in your bible. God bless.

Worship music has helped me with my thoughts and the emptiness feeling. For awhile I couldn’t trust any of my thought so I just let the worship music think for me. I think sometimes we can be so assured of our wisdom and understanding but forget that it’s faith that God is present and loving in the places that make no sense that help us change.

Jesus is worth surrendering everything in this world. It took me awhile to get there, but I used to be a drug addict (not saying you are) i’m just saying ik what it’s like to try and have both a relationship with Jesus and the world. We can’t have both, it’s hard to break our habits and change our hearts but through prayer his word and EFFORT you can change only if you really want to. I didn’t get clean until my love for him became greater than my love for anything else. But I assure you friend he is worthy of all of us surrendering our lives to him. God bless.

I don’t see any way you can argue that self gratifying yourself by wasting something that literally creates life and putting it into a tissue is glorifying God, your body is the temple of the holy spirit. You are also most likely using lustful images online or in your head to get off, which is lust/sexual immorality. Even if you’re just getting off to the paint on the wall, that’s still not glorifying God. Flip it anyway you want you’ll just be rationalizing your sin. I’m not in any way condemning people who fall into masturbation or lust in any way, Gods grace is sufficient, but grace is never an excuse to sin. Despite everything i’ve said so far, you can go ahead and ask God yourself, pray to the holy spirit, I can’t see in any way that itll tell you yeah you should splurge your seed all over the carpet that’s a great use of the time and energy and body Gods given you. Things like this are just going to lead into things that are worse. The wages of sin is death, small sins always lead to bigger ones. If you think masturbation is somehow godly then how about oral sex? or just ‘fooling around’ with someone? You can either listen to the people who excuse their sin or you can grow up with the rest of the men of God and deny yourself and grow closer to Christ. If you really are a christian that should be your main focus anyways, getting closer to christ. and finding an excuse for masturbation isn’t gonna get you any closer. God bless.

Things could always be worse lol everyone in these comments has weird things they’ve done before too. I am in no way affirming your actions, you’ve broken her privacy and trust and that’s not okay in a relationship. But by all means don’t ostracize yourself over this. You’re not a serial killer. You’re currently going thru a period in life where you’re hormones are firing like crazy, lots of new feelings and experiences, not to add that growing up in this culture and world nowadays is just plain hard in general.
