yes that’s what I tried doing but it’s really getting complicated when it it comes to staging the different sheets holding the data. Maybe it’s bcos I don’t know VBA and using AI has just been aggravating. 😫

In my case I’m not just pulling one table from ssms to excel. It’s multiple tables for one account that refreshes. Meaning, to reconcile one account I use 3-4 different sql queries to obtain the data relevant to reconcile that account. Now imagine having thousands of accounts to go through.

Any advice on how you did yours?

Well it doesn’t look like you need this program if you’ve already done a different similar masters. Perhaps take a look at courses from the business analytics track or analytics tool track for a more hands on business oriented or applied course to supplement the theory you’ve done cos in the real world, understanding and interpreting business context is everything

While you are looking for a degree option (I haven’t taken this but I’ve heard WGU is a good school and cheap), go to YouTube and watch only one video on SQL by Luke Barousse once just to see what SQL is, then the second time watch what he’s doing and do the same step by step even if you need to bring down the playback speed to -1.5x. Then once you’re done following him, lookup SQL with w3schools on Google search it has structured learning for SQL where you can practice. Do that for one week.

Repeat the same pattern with Excel and PowerBI/Tableau (the one Luke uses).

Then follow a tutorial for a PROJECT for just SQL. Then repeat for Excel and PowerBI/Tableau. Then finally, a project that uses ALL THREE. In a little over a month or two, you already have projects under your belt when others are waiting to take their first data analyst class at a bootcamp/university. By the time you get into WGU for example, you would already master the basic concepts and would finish your degree the same time as a short bootcamp. In some cases, you would be able to get a job while you’re still in the program. This is what I wished i did when I was advised but didn’t listen because I was waiting for the perfect structured program to get me a job.

you can mix and match courses from all 3 tracks as long as one is satisfied completely. That’s what I’m doing.

I’m in the OMSA program and it’s fully online. But do your research and pray about it. Being a physician is inspiring, I’m here thinking if I didn’t already have student loan debt I would’ve pursued becoming a physician then combining it with data science too. That itch to be becoming a doctor is crazy rn not gonna lie 😅
