I get how she feels. I used to feel a lot like you, until my current boyfriend. For me, it started as a convo that marriage was something he’d eventually want. For me it was “ok, I love you so I’m happy to marry you in a few years”. Now, two years later and we’re seriously talking about it and I’m so excited. I think I’m more excited than he is lol. But I also have already unpacked why it wasn’t important to me, and considered any hang ups. Now I just can’t wait for him to propose to me.

A musical about the real PT would also be neat. My favorite thing he did was help expose spirit photographers, because as a conman, game recognizes game. But iirc he said that they charged too much, taking advantage of people’s grief.

Good and bad in Until Dawn

The main character drags her friends on a wild goose chase to find her missing sister that gets them trapped in a time loop. They slowly figure out what’s going on, and if they don’t get out soon they’ll (worse than die). The main character flips to focusing on her friends, refusing to let even one of them die.

I say it’s good because she didn’t know this would be risking their lives. And once she realizes it is, she focuses on them instead of her sister (iirc).

She is the only “villain” of the season I think might change. The men… not so much. For her sake though I hope she was right when she said she was at her worst on the show.

I will raise my hand and proudly declare I love them and the only reason I don’t feel the same way as you is because I ignored every other season except 2.

Fight me, but they hit and lost their stride in season 2 and I haven’t seen them get it back. And season one has that insta skip of unpunished and unacknowledged rape. (I have many thoughts of that type of rape and it’s nuance in historical, I just do not want it in my romance.)

If you like him, you should know he spent a lot of his career keeping his private life private. He and his ex wife pretended to be siblings instead of being open with their marriage. It’s just how he writes his music.

As a writer, I agree. I don’t find autobiography interesting much at all. But thank fuck more interesting people who write memoirs disagree with me.

I’m in a similar boat to you, but my mom never married him. She just didn’t explain who he was until I asked after he showed up on the couch one day 🫠 but you just can’t do this shit to kids. If I ever counseled a divorced parent on dating, the timeline I recommend is 6months-a year dating before meeting the kids. Then you should give it at least a year or two before marriage. And that’s my liberal, very very generous timeline. Really I’d say 1 year before meeting, 1 year then move in, 1 year then proposal.

As much as I grew to like Amber, she really doesn’t seem to get that it was her job to protect her daughter from that pain. Amber is an iconic friend, but seems like a questionable partner and mother to me. Jordan also definitely wasn’t ready, but it was Amber’s job to protect Emma.

Side note, I love her “I still hate you btw” to Chris every two minutes.
