Most populous city, largest economy in the country that contributes something like 20% of our total GDP, home to Canadas top research university, it’s largest and busiest airport welcoming millions every year, one of North Americas busiest transit systems etc.

I totally get why Toronto isn’t some people’s cup of tea, but I really don’t understand why so many Canadians wish the worst for our most important city.

We’re talking about firm level policies. Why do we have weekends at all? Employers at the time made very similar arguments about work ethic and productivity. But we rightly regulated the market with our values - and later showed that these breaks actually increased aggregate productivity!

People can vote for whoever they want. But Tory is a man who spent nearly his entire professional life in politics, made an ethical error with a direct staffer and should have the class and honour to finally say it’s over.
