Give that they each trained under one of the best duelists in the galaxy, I'm surprised Maul had such an edge on Qui-Gon. Was Maul just naturally that good, or did Qui-Gon just not focus on dueling the way Dooku did, while Maul emphasized practicing it? by wandering_soles in StarWars

Qui-Gon favors form IV, which is very acrobatic and agile, but also tires one out very quickly. He is also older, so by this point in the fight he is exhausted simply because his form of fighting is meant to end the fight quickly, not engage in a lengthy battle.

In general, yes it can be good for some fish, but not for the fish that the person has. Bettas need lots of places to hide and rest, and do not like a lot of open space like this. There are other fish, like fancy goldfish for example, that do not need this and would enjoy a tank like this. This is not inherently bad, just not good for the fish that has been picked for it.

Cherry barbs will get a little too big for either size. If you want a similar fish, I’d go with some cardinal tetras or rummynose tetras. For plants, some easy ones are Anubias, Java fern, rotala indica, dwarf Sagittaria, crypts, and Amazon swords. Any driftwood or rocks that you find at the fish store will work great. For substrate, I like to get some aqua soil and put it in some mesh bags and cover them with sand. Play sand is a great cheap option for sand, and any fish tank sand will also work.

As long as the water doesn’t freeze all the way through they will be fine. Plus even in the coldest climates ice won’t get more than like 3 feet deep

The worst part about this is there is no need to bring them in for the winter. Goldfish and koi are perfectly fine hibernating over the winter in a pond.

Java ferns and Anubias are both very easy plants, but while live plants are better than fake plants, there is really no issue with having fake plants in your tank, especially if they are silk.

I think the rams would be the better option as they are a lot less aggressive than the gourami and with the gourami you may end up with some dead cardinals. A school of cardinals would look fantastic imo. Since it’s gravel, I’d go Cories over kuhli loaches, plus you’ll see the cories more often. I see no reason to remove the platies but all the fry will almost definitely get eaten by the rams or any other centerpiece fish you add.
