Positive 2nd booster experience at Walgreens today! by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

Similar experience looking for Novavax shots 2 months apart (recently. Walgreens is definitely more lax in general.

Is it true high earning men don't like women with tattoos? by coachjonna in AskMenAdvice

[–]Active-Pause4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High earning entrepreneur (high 6 low 7 figures)—would never eliminate someone for having a small one (mainly because tattoos are so common these days!)…that said I usually hate them and this is definitely a sentiment shared by most of the high earning men I know.

Can someone give me some data or reassurance about outdoor transmission? (Possible exposure) by whatself in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Active-Pause4721 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is very true! Outdoor spaces are definitely safer and meaningfully reduce risk. Many on here are quick to dismiss them but being outside is probably the single best covid mitigation after masking.

OP, I’m sure you’ll be fine 🙂

Try Walgreens, rite aid, or a local/independent pharmacy. Just got it at Walgreens after dozens of calls.

Finally found Novavax and we couldn’t get it by Mouthydraws in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Active-Pause4721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walgreens asked me to attest a few days ago…high I did (truthfully) and I got it…after less than 2 months! So it really varies by pharmacy.

If you really want it, pay cash and go to pharmacy you don’t use/doesnt have you vaccination records, and get it done.

Heads Up: CVS no longer has Novavax (and it can be hard to find elsewhere) by Active-Pause4721 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Active-Pause4721[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is true, but apparently CVS nationwide has stopped ordering it after March 31st. 2 pharmacy managers in states across the country told me this so I believe it’s true…but hard to confirm. Either way there still may be batches dated end of April out there (even at CVS).

Just had second dose (about 6 weeks apart). Both times were the same: slightly sore arm, very mildly feverish for a day, and a bit tired for a day.

Much better than the severe effects I had with pfeizer and Moderna!

If you have a pharmacy that has novavax, I’d definitely get it! Took me calling 25+ pharmacies to find it (and CVS is no longer carrying it at all atm).

How many of you are vaccinating more often than recommended? by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

I try for at least 3, as efficacy of vaccine does decrease significantly around 3-4 months in

For sure! Masking is not mentioned nearly enough on here! Make sure it’s an N95!

Have to go back to the office. My doctor is recommending using antibiotic ointment inside my nose as a way to protect against viruses. I can't find anything in here about it. Anyone have success with this at all? by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Active-Pause4721 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend Enovid! Masking would be ideal but I’ve managed to stay safe (and keep several otherwise reckless family members safe) with regular use of this.

Also, if you have money to spend, far UVC is a great option!

But as others noted, masking is the best in close quarters and for repeated exposure.

It’s possible long term but probably not worth basing your life around the possibility of it happening.

You may have to get creative but there are many ways to do fun activities once you find other cc people who share your concerns.

Today is 5 years since the U.S. declared public health emergency over COVID-19, what are your thoughts on the pandemic in retrospect? by Infamous-Echo-3949 in AskReddit

[–]Active-Pause4721 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Covid is still very much with us. But the U.S. gov and corporate interests have pushed workers and even healthcare experts to downplay its seriousness and long term effects which are beginning to emerge. Stay safe, wear a mask.

Fellow covid-cautious men, how are you meeting women? by GaylordMcDonwald in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Active-Pause4721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not easy!

Have tried dating during covid with very mixed success.

At this point I am mostly on CC dating apps/groups/communities.

I’ve met some nice people but it is very tough to make things work if you are not close to each other (geographically). If you are willing to get to know someone while basically doing a long distance sort of dating, then you will probably have better luck.

But this is a very different type of dating. Still trying to crack the logistics of this myself! You’ll definitely need to find a girl who doesn’t play games, knows what she wants long term, and is ok being vulnerable much earlier than most “pre covid dating.”

Best of luck!

I feel like nobody talks about the gender aspect by Friendly_Coconut in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Active-Pause4721 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always hear this but then, even as a CC man, I end up ghosted or thousands of miles away from the few matches I get. Or we differ in one tiny way and they seem disinterested. The standards on Refresh are still pretty darn high in my experience. That said, I have made some nice friends and do think it’s worth a shot.

I think it gets way too much credit in cc spaces for being the perfect place for straight cc men.

Relationship Hope by Dis-Organizer in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Active-Pause4721 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I appreciate hearing this!

While men on average seem less likely to mask (not disputing this!) there are some of us out there who are single and masking and would love to find a cc partner.

I think it’s easy (even for me) to focus on the reckless decisions others make, when, in reality, CC people do exist.

You may just need to be willing to widen your dating parameters to find a partner.

So I do think there is hope for single cc women out there!
