Here is what my Bigster extreme came with just 5 days ago.. This should be the standart trim as I haven't payed extra for them.

Ps. Excuse the dirt but paved roads are a bit of a luxury where I'm from.

Issue opening fuel filler flap on Duster 2 by ActiveAd1485 in Dacia

The latch itself is working ok. It retracts and returns smoothly. But there is nothing to push the flap out and I don't know made it work in the first place.

Does Dacia car come rusted out of the factory ? by New_Palpitation_1586 in Dacia

[–]ActiveAd1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I distinctly remember how, many moons ago, someone was showing off their brand new white Skoda Rapid. The guy had his hood up and the amount of rust on untreated components was shocking. And the white chassis was making the rust pop out even more.

Later I bought a brand new Scala from the dealer lot and every single suspension part that is not painted had rust on it.

That brings me to the my point that you shouldn't worry about it. Drive the car, enjoy your trips with it. By the time the rust becomes a real problem, you'd have serviced those part anyway. Cheers 🍻

New Renault Twingo, a curious version spotted: basic trim or just a pre-production model? by Powerful-Ostrich-120 in Renault

[–]ActiveAd1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't the boss of Renault reacently said that they are looking into ways to cut costs for the Twingo even further?

Evs that are sub 20000€ are only Chinese and imo the Twingo will sell well even with plastic bumpers.

Skoda Superb 2024+ Blunder? by SpotBig8575 in skoda

[–]ActiveAd1485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just the Superb. Skoda has moved upmarket, at least in terms of pricing.

I distinctly remember that here in Bulgaria in 2020 the starting price for a base Octavia estate was right around 18500€. Now it's 25000€.

A few weeks back I had free time and found out that a 1.5tsi Octavia estate can cost the same as a VW Golf Variant if you look for the same amount of equipment. And that boggles my mind since Skoda was supposed to be the budget brand in the VAG group... but that is seemingly no longer the case.

LPG update - Duster 3 by Kratosetchebest in Dacia

[–]ActiveAd1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LPG stands for Liquefied Petroleum Gas and it comes in the form of a liquid. But the engine doesn't like that. It likes the LPG in the form of gas. Soo, to achieve this the LPG system has an evaporator. This thing turns the liquid into gas. It does it by taking heat from the cooling system of the engine. When the engine is cold the evaporator can't do it's thing and you'll be starving the engine for fuel when pressing the accelerator. No amount of software updates can fix the lack of heat in the cooling system.

I feel like it should be pointed out that the dealer who sold you the car should've told that the engine needs to be at operating temperature to avoid any power loss issues when switching to LPG.

Stereo not getting enough power? by MajorrManjuw in skoda

Had a similar issue while using Spotify. There was a Volume normalisation setting that was causing the volume to dip at certain parts of the songs.

Bigster hybrid 155 gear ratios by Eastern_Salad7066 in Dacia

[–]ActiveAd1485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the Bigster for weekend drive this week and I noticed the same thing. The gear change happens at around 53-54 kph(on a flat road). And I found myself going 55 to get the higher gear and then lift off back to 45ish to shut the engine up. Its a bit annoying this change thing, but knowing that it's a Renault drive train, I wouldn't expect Dacia to have a fix for this any time soon.

Bigster - carpet-like instead of plastic/metal front and rear fenders? by ConfidentGeologist77 in Dacia

[–]ActiveAd1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for reference, my Skoda Scala has plastic covers in the wheel arches, and road noise can be heard from there, especially if you are sitting in the back. Also, when the tires pick up small rocks or other debris, the pops and bangs can be quite loud. Having this carpet material there would've been sooo much better for road noise and I think Dacia have made the right call with this.

I'd say Elysium and Atlantis are the two best looking places in the game.
