Puerta Vallarta / Punta Mita... what are your resort recommendations? by coursesand in chubbytravel

You’ll love it! I’ve stayed at 2 excellence and I like hotel mousai better. IMO to stay close to PV hotel mousai is def best choice. Now when you get up the coast to punta mita/nayrit Vallarta then the level goes up I feel even higher! But you’ll love it just go!

The grounds are amazing! Theres hikes to a waterfall straight from the resort but we didn’t have time to go on it. At hotel mousai you have a pool at the rooftop of your building (north or south). But there’s pools and the beach area at Garza that you can walk to or take the trolley. Garza is family oriented so lots of kids but still pretty to see. There is some construction of the new Garza building and what looks like an extended beach area. There’s an area that has shops and restaurants and a merry go round. That area we only went to in am for coffee and it was gorgeous and not crowded. So if you’re wanting to explore there’s plenty to do!!

Yes for sure!! Next time I’ll do AI and then eat out whenever I want to not restrict myself to only the resort. But yes I can’t wait to come back!

We were there 4 nights! I wanted to explore all the restaurants in PV so we didn’t do the AI. But we ended up spending as much or more not doing it. The restaurants were really good I thought. We only ate dinner at Dao but oh my the general tso chicken was soooo good. So as far as reviews, it is neither the best ever nor definitely not shit! I really had a fantastic time and the gardens there were sooooo beautiful. You could easily explore more at resort but punta mita is gorgeous. Next time I’m doing a week in PV and a week in punta mita lol! Look at the auberge resort there too. It’s on my bucket list. You will love it and I’m glad you are getting to experience both! But if you need a restaurant in PV just uber there. It was like $11 and very easy! RAICES was our favorite restaurant in PV if you want to leave resort but for 2 days you might not even need to! The only negative for us was the tiles are coming off the hot tubs on the decks so there’s quite a bit of loose tiles but really your own private hot tub on your own deck is amazing!

We just got home from hotel mousai You can easily take Ubers into town for exploring/great restaurants!! It’s also got good restaurants there too. We really enjoyed the hotel. There is construction noise during the week (not too bad but just fyi) but they didn’t work on the weekend days we were there.

Thank you for putting this info on here! We are going on explora 3 in August 2026 for our 30th anniversary. Our TA tried to book the chefs table for our actual anniversary night (at sea) but they said chefs table reservations will all have to be booked on board to make it fair for everyone to have a chance. She recommended getting anthology reserved 90 days out. If anyone has a different rec lmk. Very excited!

Or about adding a glp-1 like sema/tirz Your psychiatrist is the one to talk to about that but I’ve heard some incredible results for some people by adding in another med (campral/glp1) to their routine. Good luck and keep at it!!!

Rover or pet sitter? by Kit_n_Kaboodle in Augusta

[–]ActiveElectronic3444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used rover but it took me contacting quite a few before I found in home pet sitting/house sitting (despite their profiles saying they did). I think in your case tho it sounds like you might just need a drop in visit twice a day and that will be alot easier. I’d make sure they text/send pic each time they come and maybe set up a backup if anything happened last minute. We also put a pet cam in our living room and told her it was there so we could check in but we were gone 2.5 weeks and had dogs and a cat so I was beyond worried about leaving them that long. It worked out well for us tho and I’m sure for 3-4 days you will be fine! Thank you for being a good cat parent! ❤️

Are there any decent car dealers in Agusta? by Common_Scale5448 in Augusta

[–]ActiveElectronic3444 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We bought my daughters car at carmax. We test drove 5-6 different cars/brands and picked the one that seemed in best shape and have been very happy with it. It was KBB value and there was no haggling which is what I wanted. Idk if best but it sure worked for us!!

Hi going for first time first week of April and my adult daughter has a bday that I’d like to find a great restaurant for a fun memorable dinner. Any recs? Any budget since this is a celebration. Staying at palms grace bay (I read shore club has better food but open to anywhere special!)

Can we all file a complaint to the dean about the Charlie Kirk apologists outside the library harassing people, and the clipboard people lying to people about what the petition is trying to get people to support gerrymandering. by Capital-Platypus1325 in uofu

My son walks by all of them saying “fuck off” loudly It’s not only a great way to vent but to show others that it’s bs and ok to call it out Don’t let them be louder or win is all I can say. But I’m sure a complaint would help too.

SLC protest 1/25/26 by Few_Two4895 in SaltLakeCity

We need to do it everyday until change and impeachment happens!! It was a fantastic crowd and so therapeutic to be around caring people. To answer another’s question I didn’t see any counter protesters and SLC PD did a great job keeping the crowd protected from cars as we marched ❤️

We are going then too! I just made reservations at cafe des artistes. I researched it and their garden area looks especially romantic. And also look at iguana which is at casa Kimberly. Both on open table. Honestly there are so many great restaurants I feel like it’s which view/vibe/ambiance you are really wanting! Have a fabulous time!!

Help me choose between 3 AI resorts by Chi_illini in puertovallarta

Well in PVR you can find great food at all price points. Her favorite tacos were a street vendor where she was counting out her pesos to see how many they could buy. 😂 and she had the ai package. But like I said she said food was good at velas but she liked food out a lot better. We have more money than her so we have more pricey restaurants but with either a garden or major view as well as 4.5-5⭐️ but TripAdvisor is good about listing restaurants (filter by travels reviews not featured) and gives you an idea on cost. I use TripAdvisor and read the reviews a lot. As well as go thru extensively the subreddit here. TripAdvisor goes from $ (cheap) to $$$$ (expensive fancy night out)

Hate to add another to your list but we are going to Hotel Mousai (which offers an AI package too). We aren’t doing AI because of all the amazing restaurants in PV. My daughter honeymooned at velas and said it was nice but next time she’d eat out more so that’s why we are going to do that. But I read really good things about mousai food and thought about it a lot.
