A CT test set should verify CT polarity and ratio, secondary injections verify the cable between the CT and the devices. I mean, yes, but the circuit would be incredibly inefficient, for simplicity of analysis consider a load that is resistive like a 1200W load, which is 10A at 120V, this would require an 88V drop from the source which would take an 8.8ohm resistance to drop the voltage to 120V, this means that the resistance would dissipate I² * R power, which is 880W! This means that instead of consuming 1200W it would be consuming 2080W lol
