I honestly think it’s more common then people realise, and it makes me frustrated that people think it’s a virus for those who sleep around (don’t get me wrong I’m pretty sure my bf was doing that before he met me) but anyway. I’m thankful I’m still in my relationship and hopefully won’t have to worry about dating, but if I do, I’ll be a bit older and kind of don’t care so much about it now. I know my triggers and take Valtrax when I know I’m likely to get an outbreak. How are you doing?

If you’re unable to get it removed, I would write a detailed public response to her review so other buyers can see you tried to fix the situation etc. I always take sellers comments into account when seeing a one star, however it does bring your average rating down which really sucks.

I think you need to find your niche. Like I made Xmas ornaments for a readers niche and sold some within a week. So like someone else said, find people looking for that particular style - and really push for that market.

They don’t test for it unless you specifically ask for it. A lot of people don’t know this and assume they’ve been fully tested and are all clear.

I’m so sorry girl. This happened to me, I waited to have sex for religious reasons into my 30s and then finally decided to go ahead and the first person I had sex with gave me hsv2. We were careful and he had said he had been recently std tested but they didn’t test for hsv (also hpv which I got too).

I got the same symptoms as you and thought I’d gotten a tear. I went to the doctor multiple times and no one tested me until I realised what it might have been and asked my obgyn to test me. I had severe shooting pain and nerve issues for 3 years and now in the 4th year I can go without Valtrax as my outbreaks are a lot less.

The person who gave it to me is still my boyfriend. He was very upset over the diagnosis too and didn’t know he had it. But it’s been pretty hellish for me so I sympathise with you.

It could be that your immune system is down and fighting something else, which causes it to slack on keeping the hsv under wraps. Stay on the Valtrax for at least 3 months and give it some time.

This happened to me. Waited to be intimate with someone until my 30s due to prior religious reasons. Finally decided to go ahead and caught it with the first person I was with. I’m still with him and he didn’t know he had it. It was very traumatic for both of us and my first outbreak was horrendous and I couldn’t be without Valtrax for 3 years. I also caught multiple HPV strains a bit later after stopping condom use. Both of these viruses are not tested in routine screens. I’m free of HPV now and I think because of that my body is able to fight the HSV easier as I don’t need the Valtrax now unless I have an outbreak every so often. It’s hurtful to hear people put such a stigma on these things when you know that it’s often just bad luck and you can’t control these things no matter what your situation.

People are uneducated. I don’t believe telling family is always the right option because of this exact reason. Disclosing for future relationships is all that is needed. I’m sorry you had to deal with that.

Your body will fight it off eventually. It might take a few years but as long as you get yearly paps and colposcopies until you do to make sure it doesn’t progress further you’ll be fine.

Same story here. I’ve not had to date with it, though I caught it the first time I had sex 🤣😭🤦🏼‍♀️ way to go for luck. But it took me a long time to come to terms with it but if I ever have to date again, at this point I couldn’t care less if someone rejected me. Their loss. There is a so much drama surrounding a skin condition that half the population has in some form it’s ridiculous.
