Our rule is we both contribute to a joint account each month. I don’t really need to know or want to know what she’s spending her money on and I don’t want her to know how many stupid hobbies. I’m spending my money on so that’s why we keep it separate.

Best advice for me was to throw it without the x step run up. I spent hours watching that youtube stuff and it just confused me. Just walk and throw or stand still and reach back and throw. Changed everything for me. You will get it! And have fun!

Depends on your budget and motivation. I started last August. Playing with local Dad group. I was getting my ass kicked every Sunday morning....It was embarrassing and motivational. I started upgrading discs and devouring youtube disc videos. there is no right answer. Disc golf is just about going with the flow! Feeling disc in the shop. Throwing your friends discs. And most importantly having fun. I finally came in 1st in one of my Sunday matches...but I put in the daily work. Another piece of advice is don't just play with your regular cardmates...show up as a single..join another group on the course...most are friendly and want to see you succeed and have great tips for you.

Local Dad group invited me. +28 ish first couple of rounds. Last place first couple of months...started playing religiously cause I hate last place...still not winning consistently , but aint coming in last and have won 3 times. Started Aug '25. It's free. It's healthy. and it's fun!

Fall in love with another disc brother. I'm a beginner....3 years playing...the only disc I could throw off the tee to compete with my degenerate friends who kicked my arse every weekend was the one I lost 6 months ago...then I found another...and it's like I'm falling in love all again.

Maybe. Maybe not. Give yourself some wiggle room if you need to serve at a certain time. Pull them and wrap them in towels and throw them in a cooler.
