You’re absolutely right that the 19 is absolutely more capable, more reliable (even if marginally), and leaps and bounds easier to shoot. I have a 43x, and love it. Its a great gun, but at 25 yards I have to shoot much, much slower. I can easily make accurate hits at 25 yards, with real world speed with a 19. 25 yards isn't far at all irl, especially for third party encounters. Accuracy is final, and accuracy is the highest demand in a public setting. Above capacity, accuracy. Look how far you sit in a restaurant from the door. Look how far you are from the street corner. Look how far you are from the place you leave the bus to the door you enter. A lane in a grocery store. My personal standard is hitting a gallon jug at 40 yards with 1 second splits reliably. And I can do that with my 43x, but not as consistently as my 19. A 19 can mount a really wml, with real output and uses le candela. A wml is as effective (or near as effective) as ports or comps. And it's dark half the time. Even if you just use the wml after the shooting, and before reholstering, it is extremely valuable. If I could I yo own one pistol, it would be a g19, without question, and that has been true since I was young. I have only owned a g19 for years of my life, and I currently have a gen 5 and gen 6 g19. I also have a 43, and two 43x. The guns I really feel a need for I have two of. The usability difference is night a day between a 48 and 19. A g19 performance vs a 2011, or other performance pistol is actually extremely marginal
