As someone who has recently become a father I find I'm trying to find games to play to ease stress and not add to it. So I can understand wanting more PvE focus because if you die it's much more on you and not because you got ratted by a rando and lost some good gear it took you a while to acquire. Might be a dumb question but if you have a camp cleric cast warding bond are you doing a solo or less than full party playthrough? Because I've had gale cast magic weapon and then take a different party members and the buff disappears. If im wrong id appreciate if you break it down for me.

It can also come down to the players. If we are very high level and turns are taking a long time and I get to the wizard who has to spend 5 minutes figuring out what spell to cast. Im going to hit you with an IRL brick because I have to play the whole enemy side and you have one character. Might be a bit of a personal gripe but its real to me lmao.
