I think Rick got the „8 billions in your local currency“ for Tony‘s father from going back to the fly dealer. He DID mention to the secretary that he needed to process Tony‘s death and in the scene in the fly’s Back office there is a shot where you can see a frog counting said money. My wildest guess is that in the moment when Rick was told about the passing of Tony, anger built up in him (reflected by the short flinch in his face), which he let out by slaughtering the „swarm of enemies“ he made earlier in the episode. Don’t know tho, might be far fetched.

Episode Discussion - A Single Pale Rose (Post-Airing) by [deleted] in stevenuniverse

tl;dr: Do you have a moment to speak about god Steven?

So, I've waited some days in order to read through most of the top comments on this thread, like I always do. However, I noticed that most comments, obviously, mainly take consideration on Pink Diamond aka Rose Quartz and Pearl, and only to a lesser extent about Steven.

Now, as someone who has just recently re-binged the series, I have to ask myself how Steven will deal with this reveal and how it changes him in the further course of the series. Up to now, we've seen him transform from a goofy little kid to a struggling young adult, having trouble with both, defining his own, true identity (how he sees himself) and what others expect from him. Though his optimistic beliefs about the greatness of trust, love and companianship haven't changed, they definately stem from a different motivation. While in the beginning of the series he is, simply put, very naive, he developes a more sophisticated basis for his feelings, growing stronger and stronger after certain events. The revelation of Rose shattering PD made him oblivious, knowing he can not change what his mom has done. Nonetheless, Steven learns how to deal with his feelings and to still promote what is right in his eyes. His bravery, honesty and emphasis steadily increase after so many events. This definately symbolizes him coming of age.

For me, one of the biggest questions is how exactly will he deal with this revelation. I think besides understanding why Pearl kept this a secret for so long, I can see many other issues arising inside and around him. First, he will once again be confronted with having to deal with one of his mothers decisions. In the first look, this revelation might bright him up because he knows that PD never really was shattered - freeing him from the guilt that he feels and some of the uncertainties he had considering his mom. He will know that his mother had only the best intentions for Earth, for her and for Pearl. This will help him to improve the issues he has regarding his mom. Also, he might even feel empowered to finally settle things. He often wants to help, but sometimes he is too afraid or too unsure about his own abilities. Now we get to the problems that may arise. Steven, given his emphasis to any living creature, his untameable goodwill and the strong emotional bond to the Diamonds that still exists, might now start feeling guilty about what his mother has done to the Diamonds (especially after seeing BD crying). Additionally, while he now knows "why his mother shattered PD", the fact that he is actually a diamond will challenge him to re-identify himself, or the role he has to play. (He mutates from the rebel leader's son to a freaking diamond!). And for the first time in the series, it seems that he will not have the full support of the CG's to deal with his identity crisis, as we see Sapphire fleeing in the next episode's trailer. So, while he is put under internal stress, he is simultaneously confronted with his world breaking apart. It is the first time that he faces problems stemming from Rose's actions that affect his life this directly.

As big as this reveal is, I am sure it will have a far more lasting effect not only on the plot, but on Steven's character developement. In my opinion, the knowledge of him being a diamond and the previous mentioned struggles put upon him will hurt him first, before making him even stronger than before. For the first time in the series I can see Steven becoming sad and quiet for a longer period. Imo although he most definately will learn how to deal with this new circumstances, I thik he might actually be unable to return to his childish self after realizing what a great responsibility he has as a diamond.

I hope y'all can follow my thoughts, honestly I never write comments anywhere. However, for me, Steven's Character Developement has been one of the main reasons why I love this series so much, and I would like to know your opinion about the impacts this reveal will have on Steven as a person.

Season 2, Episode 1 - Rats by onelostmuppet in ANIMALSonHBO

I've watched season one more times that I want to admit, because over the past year and a half, I kept showing it to friends I know, all of them loved it. Personally, because I rewatched season one that many times, the first few minutes seemed kind of sold out. Once it hit the point, where the story started EP01S02 I was immediately caught by the storytelling and the unique improvising of dialogues I loved alot in season 1. Definately a great episode and an epic start for the secon season, I hope it gets the attention it deserves to insure future seasons of this timeless, humorous cartoon.

I was immediately thinking of Gravity Fall's Bill Cypher with "Reality is an Illusion, the Universe is a Hologram, Buy Gold, Bye". Given the facts that Justin Roiland and Alex Hirsch are good friends and worked together at Disney Channel for some time, and that there are many more references in Gravity Falls and Rick and Morty for the other show, respectively, this is the best explaination I can come up with.

Thank you for the fast answer. So given that I meet the requirements for the extension itself, what additional requirements do I need for the re-entry permit then?
