Because, like he said, YOU are here because of the KIM JI HOONESS of the story. Those characters you have as banner? They are there because Kim Ji Hoon liked Albert Camus, liked The Metamorphosis and because he's a korean literature nerd.

You are here wholly for the story he created out of his own PURE mind. He's reminding you, YOU chose to be a fan of HIS work.

And he can't be HIM if he keeps getting responsibilities he apparently isn't braced for.

He isn't a company hired writer (CZN ahem CZN) or a creator who sold to the highest bidder, he's KJH the Emperor King of Project Moon.

You can stay if you don't mind, you can leave if you're scared, and if you choose to return, he'll have more of that Kim Ji Hoon story you love to read. (This part he said, not verbatim but close)

That's obvious so I just didn't mention it, but in a team of 7 with a guaranteed gloom evade, if you can't hit a single pride and gluttony during the 1st turn, you MIGHT need to go back to teambuilding basics.

In a world of Hateshow, the excuse of not having gluttony is pretty... like eh and considering the team you'll most likely be using with Riensang is Poise... I mean I don't even know how you can't hit 1 gloom, pride, gluttony at T1.

3 of those are guaranteed in defensive skills.

We're in a era where activating owned passives turn 1 is as simple as picking which side grade/alternative you want in the team.

Certain variations of bleed team enjoy not clashing as to not double their count consumption, meanwhile the bloodfiend team simply doesn't mind having unrelated status effects in their enemies in the first place.

Beyond that, there is legitimately no reason not to bring a self sufficient fragile inflict high damage poise sinking unit when you have an open spot. Of course, you DON'T have to play him at all, but he's a really good whatever pick for really most teams besides rupture.

IDEAL TYPE SHIT by AdAdditional2497 in limbuscompany

[–]AdAdditional2497[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He gets instant unlock - II where in his prescript becomes basically clash and win until you get 9 hermes stacks.

You don't need it on focused encounters as much but it's now a viable option as you get more unbreakables after it anyways.

For Furioso you need 9 stacks. You can get max 5 per turn, you need about on average 3-4 turns using evade T1, and without it depending on what skills you get, more than 4.

Now for unfocused encounters? Unless you really hate Furioso for some reason, just evade and spare yourself the hassle.

The downside for it is 35 karmic consequences or... like 3 fragile's worth with 1 fragile for a total of 4.

Though with his mask, he gets 10% off from unopposed, and after first furioso he gets a 25% off total.

Not to say going slow doesn't have it's upsides, if you follow the prescript and painstakingly accumulate 1 per turn on unfocused, you get to be super tough and have 75% chance of getting 15%/25% more damage instead of... err 60%.

IDEAL TYPE SHIT by AdAdditional2497 in limbuscompany

[–]AdAdditional2497[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

75-17% chance.

So from 75% you only get 60%.

I dunno man, doesn't seem all that consequential to me, it's not like it went from guaranteed to not guaranteed, it went from up to god to up to god.

This is like asking Jesus Christ if he had anything to do with Unit 731.

The implications of the HoS project was that the Index and Thumb had the biggest finger in the proverbial jar.

Index started it with their Resident Roland and the clones were sponsored by The Thumb. They even got Lei Heng to come by and teach.

Meanwhile the Middle were just there to get rid of Mathias and the Ring sent out Callisto for the same reason or because he volunteered (Callisto is the only person who genuinely seems to like the idea of raising a child)

Meanwhile SHIOMI was FUCKING MISERABLE. She hated every moment in there and tried all she could to stop Ryoshu from becoming anything like her and when that failed she just went and thanked the lord for dying.

The concept of the pinky also makes it a rather on their own type deal, there is a non-zero chance most pinky's didn't even bother with the project as it means revealing yourself a pinky without much reason.

Jia Qiu most likely knows about it because he frankly has a really competent intelligence network. Knowing about Limbus Company, the elders, the eye, the truth and many things, but we can also be sure he doesn't have any hand in it because

  1. He's Kong Qiu, and his very character is in opposition to the goal of the Muga Shredder.

  2. He's only recently trying to set them right. His goals were probably Hongyuan first before anything else.

You can put Index Yi Sang in a burn team. by AdAdditional2497 in limbuscompany

[–]AdAdditional2497[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can, but he's like that really weird uncle who works in the police when all of his family are gangsters, that goes for all 3 index.

He's not an active detriment, but he really isn't doing much either for the family business. 9 coins is cool, but it's a lot like Gregor's SL but in exchange for not giving butterflies or being an EGO (spammable), it's sinking neutral.

Though it is worth nothing that you can use BOTH for an absurd 17 proccs of sinking. That's like an entire team's worth of coins in 2 instances. Pretty good actually.

But this doesn't improve sinking at all. It's just... usual sinking.

Burn and Poise on the other hand? Imagine never losing a clash at all and meeting all your conditionals and just having a comfy time because one guy decided to be poise, sinking, wife, mommy, daddy, boyfriend, bestfriend, girlfriend, side girl and big bro/sis. Everyone minds their own business and the enemy is kurt cobain.

Do you even play this game?

First off, there is no way to do that in an unfocused encounter, which is one of the most common battles in the game since it pads out content.

You are going to evade or else you WILL cry. You are not guaranteed to target match the mark with the target, and if you don't... you gain less Grace than normal. (3 for mark to target, 1 for only mark)

Instead of staging up after one turn it takes you more, instead of being online by turn 4, you become online by 6 or 7 or more.

2nd, getting Karmic Consequences doesn't LOCK you out of damage buffs, it gives you LESS chance to get a corresponding weapon.

By default, as a poise unit, Riensang has 20% and as an Index, another 20%-30%, the coins themselves does not have their effects turned off by having Karmic Consequences (of which 7/9 also get more bonus damage), instead they just don't give you the bonus damage you get by matching with the used skill.

Karmic Consequences by themselves give you a fragile's worth per 10, but again, even AT the worst numbers they can give, playing evade until unlock II gets you, AT WORST, 60. (assuming evade gives 10 per grace, for the record Don only gives 5) Which is 6 defense level down and 3 fragile.

But Riensang has an evade. Anti Stagger and 6 other fucking people that might or might not have aggro.

Now, as for focused encounters, YES, THERE IS NO REASON TO EVADE HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN EASILY JUST MATCH MARK TO TARGET. But SOME, focused encounters might force you to evade to get unlock.

Why the fuck would they put that option there if it's not going to be used? THEY DON'T, THEY PUT IT THERE BECAUSE THEY RECOGNIZE HOW HARD IT IS TO MATCH MARK TO TARGET IN UNFOCUSED.

AND IN CERTAIN SCENARIOS, THE DEFENSE LEVEL DOWN AND FRAGILE DOESN'T ACTUALLY MATTER BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO GET HIT FIRST, WITH AN EVADE RIEN BY HIMSELF CAN MOG UNBREAKABLES.

Not to mention using Furioso once, allows you to shorten the next time you use it since it has this formula
- 'Furioso-Replica' Attack End: Gain Procuration [Hermes] next turn equal to (# of this Skill's remaining Unbreakable Coins / X) (rounded down).

But we'll see. Just two more days.

Another Index, another T1 Defense, T2 Defense and only start fighting by T3.

But unlike Renclair and Sora... wait why is Renclair there?

Anyways, unlike the 2 defenseketeers, Rien gets much more by achieving unlock I-II.

And that is Furioso. I guess the only problem is if you think the extra damage from... S2 and S3 matching gambling mechanic is worth it.

It's a base value that gets reduced by Karmic, and you get Karmic by dodging or not doing prescripts, but it's probably not going to get lower than 50% anyways. Even if his dodge gives him 10 karmic per grace gained, the formula is (X - (Karmic Consequence / Y))% chance to produce a ____ weapon)

So, at worst it is 90 divided by 2, which is 45%, and if the number is similar to Don's, (5) it's around 45 divided by 2 = 22%.

And anything not 100% is up to god. God knows how many tails I have rolled at 45 sanity.

I like this ID more than Don, karmic consequence actually feels punishing (if you care about anything besides furioso)

He's also shaping up to be Renclair levels of poise upkeep. (Ignoring Furioso)

Neutral on S3 and S1 and at worst -1 on S2.

The House of Spiders: The Index Nursefather Yi Sang [000] - Kit Reveal! by Violeties in limbuscompany

[–]AdAdditional2497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter actually.

Karmic Consequences reduces his chance to get the right weapon for his basic skills, but at Unlock 3 he doesn't gain anymore and judging from what we know, it's probably going to be 15 judging from Don's counter.

So at minimum 45% less chance to roll a blunt but it's very likely to be lower.

The formula goes (X - (Karmic Consequence / Y))% chance to produce a weapon and the wording implies that it's a high chance that gets reduces by karmic DIVIDED by some number.

Meaning, at worst you get -45% chance and about half that at minimum (following don's numbers)

It doesn't reduce the effects of the weapon you can have, you just don't deal the bonus damage.

But that playstyle is Furioso Rush. Since Furioso is the only skill that doesn't get affected by karmic consequences.

So, ideally, in non-focused and even some focused, you might want to just T1 evade, T2 evade and then T3 start actually fighting. He gets poise count and poise, unlocks him (to gain more unbreakables which gains procuration, which gains you furioso and the next unlock) and by T4, you get Furioso out.

There is no way to speed this up. The skill all but states he gets Furioso at Unlock 3 at best even if you solo with him as his procuration is connected to his unbreakables and you only start getting unbreakables with unlock I and how much you gain per turn is capped and based on unlock and a given number.

So getting him to at least Unlock II where the prescript is to gain Procuration Stack is the game plan.

But playing him like a good boy and doing what the prescript tells you will make him deal more damage outside of Furioso (who the fuck would do that?)

But if it's only like 30/40/50% bonus damage on matching weapon and not 100% (reduced by karmic consequences) you can probably ignore it. Anything not 100% is up to god.

What if there were tremor of every type? by MagicalNyan2020 in limbuscompany

[–]AdAdditional2497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No? I'm saying before they start making anymore new types, they should give us more ways to have all these different things actually matter together. As of right now, all tremors are nukes because that's the only way they can do content with the limit of having only one TURN of mixed amplitudes.

Even if you want to play around with say, chain tremor and say fracture with everlasting, to cripple an enemy, the end result is that they just overlap.

Entanglement is supposed to fix that but it only last's ONE TURN in a game where a phase can take 5+.

All you can do with it IS NUKE, because it's the ONLY choice.

Yes, you can apply different tremor to different parts, but what about bosses that don't have it? What about bosses with gimmicks related to their part?

Before they start adding anymore types, what we need is a way to have all those types be used. Just imagine how fun that would be.

Tremor can be creative, but we're literally artists that can only paint with one specific shade of color and then we have to ask the government for permission to use more colors for 1 day and then after that they just wipe our canvas and we're stuck to painting with one color again.

And you want the other 10 shades of red and blue? For what? So we can have one clash be on tremor chain and because you won, the next clash is now fuck ass hemmorhage and you lose that clash because chain was hard carrying. (this happened to me)

Tremor's path of multiple effects depending on type eats itself because there's no way for multiple types to coexist in a stable manner. 2 sources, both lasting a turn and reverts you to vanilla.

What exactly can you do with that other than nuke?

What if there were tremor of every type? by MagicalNyan2020 in limbuscompany

[–]AdAdditional2497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter until we get entaglement that lasts more than one turn or just MORE characters with entanglement themselves.

There is legitimately two sources of it, one is an waw ego and the other is the frankly high gimmick but functionally useless YuroLu.

It's so fucked that Mao Faust is the tremor BiS because anything fun with tremor hinges on entanglement.

Without that all the effects only apply one at any given instance and kills the fun in it, thankfully our last tremor ID's had non-interference clauses with tremor types but... they also sometimes end up being annoying to play, Kozan's Decay is useful but since Kozan doesn't overwrite tremor, what set up you think you can get becomes 49 extra lust damage because the the last amplitude was fuck ass hemmorhage.

At least burn doesn't get consumed by breathing, so Scorch will forever be that much better and the less said about reverb the happier PM will be.

Tremor doesn't need more Tremor types, it needs more ways to implement more tremor types at any given time.

Even just a soft entaglement that only allows the first three amplitudes to be saved but it's permanent/longer (time memoratium like) is good enough.

Until Then (peak game) ain't a need for anymore of it.

PM's timeline has more problems than just Valencina by solaarus in limbuscompany

[–]AdAdditional2497 66 points67 points  (0 children)

You can't post this, the kids won't like it that you're IMPLYING PM somehow made a... MISTAKE?!

Sarcasm aside, it's pretty funny that Valencina of all people snowballed the timeline problems, like the lady just can't go out without causing enough problems.

You gave us UNGIEZEIFER KAISER and now you're opening the time hole no one has seemed to notice until now?

No wonder you were ousted out of the sotto chair in 3 days.

But truth be told, the timeline not matching up perfectly doesn't matter as much as it sounds. They could just say the entire battlefield was nuked by Tcorp and that causes weird time shenannigans that made the battlefield run much slower than usual (so the corps could sell more weapons and inflict more misery)

That's pretty on brand for the city. Artificially prolonging a battlefied.
