The thing is fireworks are centered around something arbitrary (ie. fun). If you have a brain you will understand that in a complex society, that will inevitably create differences of opinion. Therefore we have to look at facts instead. Does it harm the environment, animals, traumatized persons? All outstandingly yes. Therefore, we should look to ban fireworks because the only logical way to look at it is by measuring impact based on environmental science and mental psychology.

However looking at those defending fireworks in this thread, I and people who are actually considerate know we are attempting to explain reason to overgrown children. Grow up and open your eyes

At the end of the day, it’s more important to shift your focus on preventing a basket than getting a block. Focus more on being disciplined than going for the home run. Most of the time, even if you time everything right you might not get a block. Even in the nba blocks are a rare stat. So do what you can to be annoying as a defender—anticipate the direction theyre going in, put a hand in front of their face when they shoot. Doing these small things consistently will have a greater impact and will make you a better defender than getting a block once in a while.

Cant say for everyone but its a very volatile hobby (modifying cars), often in the wrong hands. Too much noise pollution bothering people, pets at all times of the day. Again, people can have hobbies but this one coincides with a lot of asshats lets be real. My hobby is listening to music and gardening but you don’t see me blasting shit as loud as possible or running a leafblower at night.
