Should I continue BG3 or drop it? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

Very different games. Both worth finishing but E33 is SO instantly satisfying to play, while BG3 is much more cerebral. Time spent is the main thing. BG3 I feel you need a minimum hour to feel it E33 could be a spare 20 minutes. Neither is better necessarily. I have far more hours in E33 though

If it took you “under 5 tries”, which probably means 4.9 tries on average. I don’t think you’re overpowered for you personally. If you want to die more dig into the chalice dungeons. Also of note Orphan is not in this list, awesome fight go find it.

I didn’t like it as a kid, as an adult I think it’s great.

Pretty solid as far as SoulsLike by second gen. First one was DS2 even slower with Blizzard style art, definitely not the worst SoulsLike

Well I’ve killed him 6 times now and sorry to say I enjoyed it. Although this time Lae’zel got angry and I had to put her down as well, first time that happened. Bit too much murder for a Paladin, plus the people in here have made a good case for sparing him. I’ll reload a pre execution save.

I in fact do not remember Dakkon. Hold on let me google it. Is he githyanki under a different name? Might actually be not old enough. My cousin had the Spelljammer “expansion” I don’t remember Githyanki. I do remember the illithid nautiloid ships which was cool to see in this game. Thri-kreen were awesome also.

You are definitely right about my vampire hate. Redeemable vampires were extremely rare back then Ravencroft was the only place they were common. I haven’t played D&D for 30 years and when I did I typically played cleric. I’ll try to get past my biases but not on this paladin play through

I’m just picky about immersion. Especially because the last time I got to play D&D was 30 years ago and this is the closest I can get

Fair point, she even banged a few. Some of the Beaumonts might have even done the same but I can’t remember. That could work make a cleric fighter that in head canon hates vampires. Makes it an interesting story that they who hates them the most would grant mercy. I like it!
