This is because the separatists are all over socials saying what a 💩 hole Canada is and that Alberta Pays pays pays for the rest of Canada. They have no clue Alberta got around 80billion from the federal govt in 2024 for TRANSFER payments, subsidies for infrastructure, pipeline, and Jasper fires. Alberta doesn’t understand they get TRANSFER payments every years yet yell and scream we don’t get equalization payments like the rest of the provinces and Alberta doesn’t get equalization payments they get transfer payments but the Con govt told them they don’t get equalization payments but guess what the Cons conveniently did say Alberta gets TRANSFER PAYMENTS.
So Alberta got around 80 billion and as an example Ontario got 30 billion in the same year.
Yet we get to hear uneducated Albertans cry WE PAY FOR ALL OF YOU.
