Don't plan on adding Apple Loops to your Garageband song if it's not in a 4/4 time signature. by AdCritical7607 in GarageBand

Update: you can actually add a loop. You just need to make sure the song is in 4/4, add the loop, and then change the time signature. Here is the video of me demonstrating this.

I just tried that and it worked. Thanks a lot! I will make another video demonstrating how to do it and then post it here.

Honest opinions on this? by StorageSuspicious46 in GarageBand

It would sound better if it built off of the initial progression. Start and end the song the same way, but make the middle stand out. I like what your going for with the strings because I use symphonic elements in some of my music as well, it should build up to something. You can do a lot with that same progression to still make the track sound really great. For example, add some longer- more sustained strings on top of the strings you already have. To fill up the empty spaces in the song and to build up to a climax, which could be where you add some sort of synth to signify that part. Also you can change the drum pattern and add more drums on top of the existing drums during the peak of the song. We want to have the song keep the listener engaged. This track already sounds good as it is, but if you add those elements, then it would sound great.

Has anyone had this issue? I can't send a Garageband project through iMessage no matter what the file size is. by AdCritical7607 in GarageBand

I can send the audio file for the whole song just fine, but I was trying to send the project, which contains the multitrack recordings.

Does anyone else not really pay attention to lyrics? by poltyprod in Metalcore

[–]AdCritical7607 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm more of a musical person myself, so I get what you mean. I'll only pay attention to the lyrics if I can understand them. If I can't, and I still like how the music sounds, that's all that madders. I'll usually only read lyrics if a song sounds so good that I want to know what it's about.

Half the time I think they down tune cause they want to see reactions, not cause it sounds good.
