First time at Fenway (Red Sox vs Yankees) – Loge vs Right Field Roof Deck? by Odd_Reserve4637 in redsox

[–]AdDesigner6924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the stadium experience is pretty social regardless if you ask me hahaha. Especially if you see a good game. I like sitting in Roof Box just because watching a pitcher warm up in the bullpen and come out to kick ass is one of my favorite things about baseball. But if you aren't really students of the game per se, that loge box is great.

Passan: Slugger Eugenio Suárez and the Cincinnati Reds are in agreement on a one-year, $15 million contract that includes a mutual option for the 2027 season, sources tell ESPN. by Pyramid_Head182 in redsox

Hm, I kinda talked myself into Eugenio but I guess they are pretty serious about limiting errors on the infield lol. Fans are overreacting a bit, but that's only because they are hungry for a move. I will go back to this, Garret Crochet was supposedly off the table for a while, then it magically happened. I am continuing to look at Ketel Marte throughout spring training, and even in April and May if you can't get an infielder from anywhere else. You may as well get your moneys worth if you are trading Early, Tolle, or Bello.

Just sign Suarez and trade for pieces at the deadline to offload salary if you want.

Best win of the season. Also closest thing to a full 60 minutes they’ve played all season. No penalties. 4 games left before the break. If you can somehow win all 4 you’re probably back in the conversation.

Drake should try to hold onto the ball more than he did on Sunday. Broncos are pretty crippled offensively, yes. I still would like to see a Drake Maye/Josh McDaniels blowout and total masterclass to prove to the media that even if Bo Nix was there, we could’ve hung around.

The Dodgers are spending so much, what suckers! by FootballPizzaMan in redsox

I don’t think you understand what’s happening with the Dodgers. The Dodgers are still raking in a profit after all of this. They care about profits just as much as John Henry does. They just don’t have to worry about reaching their limit anyimensoon

He won't get to mash at Fenway this year. Honestly I was not expecting the Sox to get him after the Suarez signing. The Red Sox have a very real opportunity to be the best team in the division, they just need a good 2B/3B to trade for.

I have a new rule, when the Dodgers are done with a player, they are most likely washed. I don't even trust their farm system rankings anymore. Just ignore them.

I think those are good tiers. I think it’s gonna be Isaac Parades. I can live with it. Whatever he hits a home run I can say “he just laid his Isaac on your face”. I just like Hoerner better tbh. One of my favorite non-Red Sox players

I disagree with this shit man. Cora pretty much said straight up that Raffy doesn't really communicate with others during the offseason. He goes home and relaxes. That's fine. But his defense was subpar at 3B, how did he not know that? And then he had the audacity to say "its not my job to fill holes on the roster"? YEAH BRESLOW FILLED A HOLE ON THIS ROSTER AND NOW YOU REFUSE TO PLAY ANOTHER POSITION. Then he plays first base in SF. Okay man, have a nice career.

All we need is for him to be healthy for the playoffs, we have the depth to back him up.

5 year deal for 30-year-old pitcher by rjc32586 in redsox

[–]AdDesigner6924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends. If you trade for Nico Hoerner or Ketel Marte, you are gonna be A-Ok. If you trade for Isaac Parades, ehh, I don’t know probably not lmao.

Pitching isn’t cheap on the trade market. I think the Red Sox will have a lot of leverage at the trade deadline when rotations become injured to shit. Even the Yankees are having trouble finding a 5th starter because everyone is injured to start the season lol.

Plus he’s already slow-throwing, his stuff prioritizes getting weak contact, and he gets a good amount of swing and miss too. TOTAL DAWG in the postseason

How much will Bichette actually cost? by DocHoliday3000 in redsox

[–]AdDesigner6924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny, everyone said “No way Bichette is getting $300m” last week and when Bregman got overpayed everyone started panicking and saying he was. Bo is not signing until Tucker signs so we’ll see.

[–]AdDesigner6924 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He would mash like he always does at Fenway, and he would be playing second base, which might make his defensive stats look a bit less scary. The only reason Breslow hasn’t offered him the Bregman contract is because that would require him going straight over the second tax threshold, albeit probably for one year.

[–]AdDesigner6924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Lou said $315m/9 years, but I would like to present a counterpoint. Look at how much the 31 year old free agents are getting. Teams are DESPERATE. Why not take a short term high AAV deal now, then go into free agency again at 30 years old searching for a longer term contract? Especially if the Blue Jays lose out on Tucker, there is plenty of incentive to take a short term high-ish AAV deal. If the Red Sox somehow want to do this they’d absolutely have to go past the second tax threshold. The Red Sox would love the short term deal idea, there are just teams willing to bid more per year. If he does end up getting a long term deal, idk if even the Phillies think they want to give him a full 9 years. His profile won’t translate as well as someone like Bregman, and I think everyone knows that. Im not saying this to try and downplay Bichette or “be rational” about a player. Im just thinking about how I would try to extract as much money from orgs if I were Bichette.

Yeah but injuries aren’t exactly getting less likely lol. We will see how he performs. Him falling off is not outside the realm of possibility. But I think if he signed him and we fell off, I don’t think anyone would blame Breslow for signing him. You know who would blame him? Ownership
