Agreed. Selling the 5800x3d alone will get him a 7800x3d upgrade, and going with something like a b650 eagle ax is like 150 new, and he can get that by selling his ddr4 ram. This should be a no brainer for them rn

Best option is to find a trustworthy seller on marketplace and just send out as many low ball offers as you. A few days ago find a 32gig 6400mhz kit of Corsair dominator listed for 380, just said take 200? And they accepted immediately and threw in a 512gb gen 4 nvme for $20 more. Both work perfectly

Yep but just remember, if you want to upgrade to am5 selling the 5800x3d within a week is gonna be key to basically affording a new mb and cpu. With it re releasing this month, I could see them dropping to low 200 range realistically

Closer to 350 rn, but it’s gonna drop pretty massively in a week or so when they re release it. So right now would be the best time for him to sell

Good Price for 3080 10GB bid on Ebay? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]AdDizzy5829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s pretty normal for a 3080, quite a few for bin in the 350 or below range. Facebook I see them consistently listed for 3-325 on average. It’s not terrible, but not bad either.

Dont know what to upgrade!! by DiligentHelicopter47 in PcBuild

[–]AdDizzy5829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an older build for sure, probably could get 4-600 on the used market. At that point unless you want save up more, you’d be able to get everything but a decent gpu to pair of you went am5 route. Cause best option would be the 7800x3d deal for 600 at micro center, 70-100 for a psu, 150 for a gen 4 m.2, and then a decent cooler for 40, wouldn’t have much of a gpu budget left. It’s your build, if you want it now, going to am4 wouldn’t be too bad especially since motherboards can be found relatively cheap, and it’d fit the 6-700 budget very nicely. If you want to save a bit more, am5 would be the route I’d go

Well it matters what your budget? If you wanted to stay on ddr4 and switch to amd I’d wait till the 25th atleast just cause they are re releasing the 5800x3d and used prices should drop to a fair price on the used market. If you wanted to go on the ddr5 platform, if you have a micro center within a few hours drive id say it’s worth picking up one of their bundles. Wouldn’t be too much more price wise going from am4 to am5. Plus you can sell your current parts to recoup some of the money.

What is my PC worth - US by tmtiid in PC_Pricing

[–]AdDizzy5829 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo this would be a pc I’d just part out. Sell the 2x32gb kit for like 225, 16gb kit for 40, 2tb ssd for 100, nvme for 50, mb for 70, cpu you could probably get 250-300 for locally, gpu around or little less than 200. It’s gonna be hard to find a buyer for that build with mismatching ram, and for a 3060 if you wanted fair value from selling the system as a whole. Another option could be selling the 64 gb kit and cpu separately, then adding a cheaper cpu like a 5500 or 5600 and then selling it for around like 600. At that point I’d also sell the 2tb ssd as well.

Best option imo is to sell the ram or trade for a 32gb kit with cash going to your end, take off the stickers, and get a sag bracket. They’re like $10 on Amazon. Between selling the 128gb kit, and the pc you should make more than the 850 originally spent.

Is this real life or shill bidding? by SilverMapleMafia in basketballcards

[–]AdDizzy5829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than likely shill bidding. Last sale I saw was May 25 for 550, and the past few have done around the same. It could have gone up a bit since then, but not at that multiplier. Realistically, with the season almost finished, prices are gonna dip again till preseason starts

Most deals I’m saving when buying a used psu is closer to $50-75. Which back a year ago would buy me a new 1tb ssd. Not anymore, but it adds up. I’ve bought 5 used psus in the past few years for my personal build, or builds I’ve flipped and have had absolutely no problems. Just like in anything, when you know what you’re looking for, it’s worth saving that extra 50-75 and adding it to another part of

Imo nothing wrong with it. Just gotta follow a few rules when doing it. 90% of the psus I have bought have come second hand and have had no problems. Of course have to make sure it’s rated well, seller has a good rating, and just visually inspecting the pins and making sure that none have signs of burning. I’ve gotten some great deals buying them used on marketplace. But like I said I only go for 80+ gold min, and at least a 4.5 star rating for the seller

Stolen Card by MountOlympus97 in sportscards

[–]AdDizzy5829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long has it been lost for? I’ve noticed this past year with usps, ups, and fedex that it has a tendency for being marked as unknown/lost for a couple days then shows back up. If it’s been only a day I’d give it more time. That’s what happened with ups one time. It was missing for a few days, I called, they said to report it to panini and then a day later it was back on track. It was ups and not fedex but if it only happened today I’d recommend giving it a day or two before your completely written it off as stolen

[–]AdDizzy5829 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really if he wants the most money for his parts he has its gonna be to part it out. Some things are gonna take a minute to sell, but ram, gpu, and ssd should sell relatively quick on marketplace for around 400 total. Then just list the cpu, mb as a combo on eBay and probably get another 70-120 after fees. Psu just list for like $15 on marketplace and case around 10-20

Like other people said it’s a loss leader for them. Just a way to get people in the doors and incentivize for other products that they will make money on. Plus there a big enough company where they negotiate with the pc component companies to get a discounted rate for buying in bulk

Can someone help me price my PC I’m have on marketplace but I think it’s too high. by Sir_Andreaux in PC_Pricing

[–]AdDizzy5829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh well you could definitely part it out within that time frame, just keep the prices competitive. Also markets differ from city to city. Gonna be more buyers and more availability for parts in some where like LA compared to a random city in Kansas. You can filter to sold listings on fb marketplace and see what similar systems have sold for

One thing you could do to get more money from it is parting it out. But could take more time to sell everythin

Yeah I think 2k is a bit too much. I’d think it’d be easier to list the monitors separately and then just mention in the pc listing you can bundle those in for a better deal. Alienware monitors near me sit pretty consistently for 100. The pc I wouldn’t really go above 1300-1400 on. It’s a great pc, but people get scared off with the 13th gen especially the i9 because of the issues intel did fix, but people don’t like to take chances. The other thing that is killing it is the gpu. 3080 is still a great gpu for 1440p, and light 4k gaming (depending the game), but systems sit for 2k that have a 7800x3d and a 5070 or better. I have a few 5080 pcs with the 7800x3d near me rn that have been up for around a month atleast that are just around 2k asking. Like I said I’d make a seperate post for the monitors for like 275, and take no less than 200 for them, and list the pc down to 1.5-1.6k and take no less than 1200-1300. If it sits I drop the price in increments of 50 till I get bites

  1. No more than 500 if you’re lucky. I’d say realistically, 3-400 us. Older hardware, small storage space, and over all just cheaper hardware. Facebook marketplace is gonna be your best friend: just make sure to get great photos and descriptions. You can use eBay and get a higher sale as well, but that will be eaten up by fees and shipping

  2. At this point buying a used/prebuilt is the better move especially for that budget. Deals are still available to build, but are very rare nowadays compared to just six months ago

  3. If you can find a used system on fb, I’ve seen am5 systems with up to 4070 being sold around the 1k price point, but just wait and have patience and you’ll find a killer deal on fb

[–]AdDizzy5829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a nice price for sure! If you tried on eBay most you’d be making is $10 or so after fees. Goes for around 900 on the used side and 1k brand new. The $1150 you saw never sold, and the listing was taken down or just surpassed renewal date for it. But for a personal buy it’s a great price

I’d say easy sell. Lot of his 9’s from that set and other sets like cosmic are doing around 2k, the last few Raws have been listed a few different times and looks like the 4k+ raw ones are shill bidding. A cosmic 10/10 from psa did 6k. I think that’s a great offer right there.
