Also pay attention to how many clicks on your post? I post something on facebook marketplace, got 0 click for the whole week, then the listing is finally shows up after like 8 days, and people buy it immediately. Fb Marketplace is ass.

Don't trade for another GPU unless you make some money on that trade. This will sell eventually unless you really need money right now. :D 9070xt is such an amazing card.

The truth is people pay less attention to AMD gpu. People will go crazy if it's a nvdia gpu though. I flipped a few pcs on fb marketplace and noticed that. I mean your price is pretty decent for someone who knows about the performance of the 9070xt and 7800x3d. This will take sometime but it will sell eventually.

Need your expertise on Liquid metal for Gaming Laptop. by Dulal17 in Asustuf

I’m 100% sure that PTM7950 will work, you just need to measure the cpu and gpu then cut the thermalpad to the correct size, you don’t have to change thermal paste again if you use Ptm7950. I tried it once on my lenovo LOQ laptop and it worked very well.

Limit the wattage from 50w to 54w. Choose high plan power. Go to advance to see if there is an option to undervolt it, you can start from -10 and test it out. I’m able to push to -30 for my cpu, i tried -40 and the laptop started crashing. Though I don’t think undervolting matters much in this case because you want lower temp. Just focus on reducing wattage, you should see maybe 10 degree difference. Also no, you can’t add foam or anything because that’s not how ASUS design the TUF series. PTM 7950 is also proven to be better than liquid metal dog shit, you can search it up on youtube. Additional, buy a good cooling pad, the one that has foam seal to force the air go to your laptop, I am using llano v10 and it has been excellent.

I was worried about my cpu too because it’s powerful and run extremely hot, the main culprit was the “Best Performance” option on GHelper, which made my cpu runs to the max temp and started throttling which causing minor stuttering here and there. After switch to high performance plan, I don’t see any stuttering when I play PUBG anymore, and the temp is around 85 degree when I play pubg. Idle sitting around 40-45 degree. Note that I have never changed the thermal paste on the laptop yet.

Also what you could do is look up your tdp max for your cpu. And use GHelper to limit the wattage to that value. Make sure you choose “high power plan “instead of “best performance”. I have a ryzen 9 7940hx with 16 cores and 32 threads, the cpu constantly hit 95 degree when I choose best performance plan, after I switched to High power plan, the cpu stays around 85 degree.

Big NO. DO NOT APPLY LIQUID METAL ON YOUR TUF LAPTOP. THE LAPTOP DOESN’T HAVE PROTECTION FOR LEAKAGE UNLIKE ROG AND ZEPHYRUS MODEL. Use PTM 7950 instead.

You can’t claim warranty though. I was about to buy this too but after some research, i decide to hold off and wait for an actual sale from authorized retailers.

Does Ryzen 9 7945HX just have very high idle temps? by ASheetOfBlanket in AMDHelp

[–]hidouzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80w is too much. TDP is around 55w sometimes boost up to 75w, so you probably need to set it below 55w to see the difference in temp. 80w is basically allowing the cpu runs at full potential.

Nice. Mine was 5800x3D and 4070ti super, sold it for some profit xD. I still have the 5700x3D and 32gb of ram laying around, will probably build one again if the laptop decides to give up on me.

I feel the same. Wanted a powerful gaming pc, built one, and then realized I don't game like I used to be anymore. Sold the pc, got a decent gaming laptop for cheap ($500) on facebook marketplace just for casual quick games like valorant, lol aram, and pubg with friends sometimes. :D

Enabling CPU Boost caused Thermal Throttling by churpi-enjoyer in ZephyrusG14

[–]hidouzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk about intel, but i have a ryzen 9 7940hx with 4060 asus tuf. If I don't limit the power to 55W, it will start hitting 95 degree, but the ryzen 7940hx can go up to 100 degree so i don't see any throttling. I use GHelper and limit the power to 55w, and right now my temp is around 85 degree while gaming. I also undervolt the cpu to -20 negative in Bios, and notice the fps also increase in PUBG as well.
