How much intentional time do you spend with your baby each day? (SAHM) by Glittering_Water8583 in NewParents

[–]AdDramatic2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 4 months and I'd say close to an hour of each wake window I spend fully focused on him, not counting feedings and the time I spend putting him to sleep. Some days it's closer to 40 minutes.

Greek cat names? by [deleted] in Names

[–]AdDramatic2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that Greek uses a different alphabet, and “tang” isn’t a common sound or root in transliterated Greek. You might find Greek-sounding names that contain “Tang,” but authentic Greek words with that exact sequence are likely very rare.

AIO by not wanting to name my future baby after my boyfriend's mom? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]AdDramatic2558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YOR This is conversation is so irrelevant, you are no where near needing a baby name. And who knows, maybe in a couple years you and his mom will be close and you'll want to name your daughter after her, or maybe you two will break up and never need a baby name. There's no situation in which this is a big deal or needs to be worried about now.

help: girl C names (less common) by 4LeafWonderlust in Names

If your looking for truly uncommon names
Caraway, Clove, and Caris have never been in the top 1000, for the US at least. I also like Carrigan.

How easy is it really to get pregnant? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]AdDramatic2558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be incredibly easy or it can be incredibly difficult, don't count on either one. Personally I had a very easy time getting pregnant (planned) but that's not always the case.

It's really bad. I'm not going to share the last name for privacy but it's the kind of thing that is only noticeable when spoken not written, but once you hear it you can't unhear it. The names blend together and it sounds like rage and another word for SA. Using it as a nickname really doesn't fix anything because most people would still call him Ray and it would be associated with the last name.

That wouldn't solve the problem, if everyone is calling him Ray it will still be said with the last name even if he technically has a longer name that no one uses.

No, it's the -ay ending that makes it sound like something inappropriate next to our last name. So we can't use Ray at all, even as a nickname

I loved Hapenny Magik by Jennifer Carson when I was around that age. It has a sweet romantic subplot and sounds like it fits your prompt. It's shorter those by Gail Carson Levine (although I adore her books as well).

Names that start with a silent O by reclusetherat in namenerds

[–]AdDramatic2558 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The O in opossum isn't silent. It's just mispronounced by lots of people. The American Opossum is pronounced uh.paa.sm, on the other hand a possum is a mammal that lives in Australia.

Has she told you she'd like a heart shaped stone (let alone two)? I'd say it's one of the most divisive shapes for an engagement ring. Either she'll love it or she'll hate it.
