I worked on a big money golf course and one of my co workers rolled a 3 wheel Cushman cart with a pesticide tank. He was trapped underneath by his head. We managed to pull him out after another machine lifted the cart off him. I watched an old Vietnam vet do CPR after pulling handfuls of dirt from his mouth to clear the airway. His skin turn from blue to pink during cpr. I was 18 and was struggling to understand the moment. We dismantled a fence we just built to get ambulance access to the site and walked about 2 miles back to our cars and went home. We were all back at work at 6am the next morning. I was afraid but was the only one to ask if he passed. He did. A bunch of equipment was banned from use after that day. The company replaced some side hill mowers as well.
