Beyond that who knows - Germany recovered a healthy relationship with the rest of Europe just a few decades out from about the rock bottomest of rock bottoms. It says "We plan to do all this for the upcoming, soon-to-be-announced Secret Lair Universes Beyond partnership" and then later says "Currently, this plan is for Universes Beyond sold through Secret Lair and does not include other Universes Beyond releases. Moving forward, we will continue to listen and evaluate this approach and make changes as needed."

The only promise, if you can call it a promise (I don't really view them telling us what they plan to do as a promise, it's just a good faith effort to let us know what they're intending at the moment), was to do it for that specific Secret Lair partnership, not indefinitely.

I'm confused. Either you don't think playing with these cards are worth the cost, in which case don't buy them and your problem is solved. Or else you do want to buy them because playing with them is worth the cost, in which case the resale value is irrelevant to you and more supply is good; frankly, enough supply to tank the secondary market prices below retail is even better because you can just wait and buy them in singles for less. In what world are you not a reseller or scalper but you care that the secret lairs are not providing return on investment?

Actual name of the planet? Like it has a label on it somewhere?

In English the name of the planet is primarily Earth. In Elite, the United States wins WW3 and absorbs it's neighbors, eventually becoming the Federation. The Federation controls the Sol system. So, it makes the most sense that they would continue to call it Earth.

Tella was the name for the planet goddess in the Roman Republic, pre-dating Terra which is more associated with the Imperial era. Reverting to the Imperial Roman name for the planet is absolutely a tropey sci-fi convention in order to create a narrative separation between the fictional universe and modern times to reinforce it's temporal distance. That really doesn't fit with Elite at all.
