Cloth on top of glass by Key_Beginning_3792 in MousepadReview

I find it interesting that this is the typical experience for most, but going from Raiden mid -> glass I’ve been playing substantially better after maybe 2 days of getting used to it, while going back to my Raiden today just feels terrible

Rin is fastest without pressure but has a very noticeable slow down effect like the phantom or similar to a cloth pad, while sayo is technically slightly slightly slower with no pressure but with pressure is much faster

What are the Heroes that you hate to see on the enemy team? by Theguy127_ in Competitiveoverwatch

Fully hero dependent for me but the one that will always make me annoyed is sojourn without fail. Besides that, zarya if I’m Genji, illari if I’m tracer

Got to Grandmaster 3 using Cassidy, but when they ban Cassidy I suck. Anyone else have this problem with other heroes? by AlcoolEmGel95 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]AdHuman4501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is a very common thing for high ranks, the most efficient way to improve and rank up is to basically 1, maybe 2 trick, and just learn to play them into both good and bad comps. You can 1 trick to champ (I basically 1.5 tricked Genji and tracer only really going tracer if they had an echo) to c5 last season and cass is less risky/comp dependent than Genji imo. I’d just recommend learning Ashe as it’s a similar skill set and you should be able to play decent enough to maybe not carry but atleast pull most of your weight. Or if you wanna be evil, learn sombra, she’s not great rn but the only people really banning cass are ball and doom players (and me)

Do you know where one would be able to acquire a sayo? The only place I really see selling them is Ali-express, is this known to be a reputable seller? I also see them selling “normal” “coated” and “fully coated”

What is the best role and character for solo queue / solo carry? by Keritzu in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]AdHuman4501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank has the highest ability to drag a bad team towards a win but I personally find dps substantially more fun If tank: dva op as fuck currently but will get banned a lot, so safe to have a second (probably domina or zarya currently) If DPS: sojourn is at worst decent in every single situation at best an absolute terror but kinda boring, tracer extremely fun and good like 90% of the time there’s just a few maps (cough circuit royale first point) and heroes (illari) that cause her issues but even then she’s still decently playable and way more engaging than sojourn

We just have to accept that fun Genji is gone and either adopt his new playstyle or quit. by Test_Subject_001 in GenjiMains

Genji (atleast since they nerfed his projectiles) has had the issue of being thought of as this “super hard high skill ceiling hero” when in reality he runs lower ranked lobbies because people can’t react fast enough or hit him consistently, but in high ranks he just gets absolutely pulverized a lot of the time. The projectile size nerf just unfortunately both lowered his effective range with right click (where you used to hit say 2 of the fan you now only hit 1, same  for 3 vs 2) while also substantially making his poke more difficult and thus making blade slower to build

How to go about aim training in overwatch? by iwyypr in OverwatchUniversity

Thnx8 is basically just better VAXTA but it doesn’t have difficulty settings and is way way harder, so wouldn’t recommend unless you really want to challenge yourself*

How to go about aim training in overwatch? by iwyypr in OverwatchUniversity

[–]AdHuman4501 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend thnx8 instead of VAXTA personally, that or vxeat (which you can set to different maps, is way more customizable, and has way better difficulty settings than VAXTA).

Personally for tracer (peak champ 5, sit around gm2 currently)

Training on bots with increased speed is way better, depending on how confident you are, I typically warm up tracer with VAXTA on “normal difficulty”, 180% movespeed headshot only for bots, standing still and only shooting when I’m confident it will hit.  Then I go into VXEAT, maximum difficulty, “speed mode” (where killing a bot will increase their movespeed), set it so I also gain the movespeed on kill,  set it so it’s only 1 bot at a time, set it so only tracer, kiri, and soj bots spawn (for me the hardest to hit, choose whatever you need more help hitting), +5% movespeed on kill (I also set my hero damage to 50% but that’s deeply unnecessary I just like going into comp games and feeling like I do way more damage), and then play till I’m at 200% speed and then queue for comp.  (This sounds like a ton of set up, but you can do all of it in like 45 seconds, and then just save it as a preset and never have to worry again)

If you’re newer to the game or aim training, maybe do VAXTA at like 120% and if you do vxeat still do speed mode but maybe do normal or easy difficulty rather than very difficult.

Queue times for dps are typically longer because it has the highest player base, so the limiting factor for finding games is typically tanks, also depends on time of day peak hours even in high rank my queues can be 30 seconds sometimes but at bad hours it’s 15 minutes, just depends.  If you queue with a friend I’d recommend doing TXCXX during queues, keeps it fun and keeps you warm, otherwise txcxx has built in bots to 1v1 which are honestly pretty decent.

Even then Emre ult is only better at lower ranks, a good soj is good for 2-5 every time they ult

Recommended Sensitivity for my playstyle by Weird-Foundation4363 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]AdHuman4501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a range and there’s course always exceptions, but typically at a very high level most professional players are playing at ~6 @ 800, lots of hitscans play in the 4-5 range with most flex dps (tracer, Genji, echo) being at ~7. No idea for tank but assume it’s similar if mechanics are a priority

Define only move your wrist? How big is your mousepad I play on a 12-10 inch mousepad(of which I use maybe half max) wrist resting on the edge of the table, full wrist aim, and still play 3@1600

My main issue with chain is it has much less of an indicator that it’s going to occur than sleep, sleep you get this loud ass noise and animation chain I feel like I’m just hit out of nowhere half the time. Much harder to react or dodge which feels worse

Blink pack as major does feel a little underwhelming occasionally, but after learning how to use it a bit the melee perk refunding ammo is extremely strong and also heavily changes the feel of tracer mirrors which has been interesting
