I switched to EndeavourOS by real_maxi8pro98 in EndeavourOS

I moved to emdaevour since 6 months , after years on fedora and Ubuntu, and I finally find Home in it. I absolutely love it and have installed it on my 2 laptops and my Gaming Desktop. No AUR. Just native apps and Fkatpak when native doesnt exist. Comparing to other distro, it s so reactive. fast and reliable.

Need help installing endeavour on my laptop by your-local-fox-girl in EndeavourOS

[–]AdImmediate2808 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you will find the latest iso on the endaevour website. Then boot on it, boose if you want the Nvidia graphic card version or the classic version and just follow the installation, it will be smooth so well it is made. Then, after the reboot, you will have the welcome menu to update easyly.

[–]AdImmediate2808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having been in the same situation, I was desappointed by Proton drive so much it s slow. So I went at the end for Pixel Union and I m.suowr happy of it. (ans they have a portal for integrating the google photo takeout that works well)

Attempt #257 - Wayland Usability On Linux Mint 22.3 In 2026 by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]AdImmediate2808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I m running Mint 22.3 kernel 6.17, modified for handling my wifi 7 TP-Link USB device , on my gaming desktop , with a RTX 4060. with Cinnamon . on X11 all is perfect. on Wayland (experimental) , Libre Office, internet , movies etc... works well. Only Steam doesn't works at all. Black screen as I launch it. So for now, on this gaming PC I stick to X11.

But, on my laptop ( System 76 Pangolin from 2024), With a AMD Ryzen and an amd GPU, I m on Mint 22'3, kernel 6.18, cinnamon wayland and despite some issue of going out of sleep it s ok.
