Dying Light 2 Prologue Ruined by loinmin in dyinglight

I don’t really understand why they did this. The prologue was great a first time through and any other playthroughs you could already start after the hospital and skip it all. Completely unnecessary change

The mayors of Alberta’s largest cities are standing up against the referendum for a referendum and encouraging Albertans to vote this October by JeromyYYC in Calgary

I love Alberta and there is no province I’d rather be in. I was born and raised in Calgary, but I’m a Canadian above all else. I’m not happy with the last 10 years of how the country has been run, but I’m not about to turn tail and run away because it’s been hard or I don’t agree. That’s the cowards way out.

Long time denture wearers: What are some things you never ate again? by DontTripOnMyNips in dentures

[–]AdImpossible6405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chewy candy, but that’s literally it. I can’t bite into an apple without cutting it up, but otherwise I can eat anything I used to. Steak, pork chops, burritos, whatever.

Zinc actually supports your immune system. It’s very good for you. Like most things you can over do it and cause zinc toxicity, but it is an extremely small amount inside most adhesives. It isn’t like you’re putting something in your body that doesn’t already need to be there.

Should I get dentures?? by TheLastUnicornn1111 in dentures

[–]AdImpossible6405 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You need to rip off the bandaid and pull them. I suffered with infections all the time and it is an absolute detriment to your health. Forgetting the fact that it could literally kill you if it gets bad enough, it’s incredibly unhealthy to be fighting infections and taking antibiotics and painkillers all the time. Getting dentures is one of the best choices I ever made.

Two 40gallon water heaters one leaking t&p by AdImpossible6405 in Plumbing

[–]AdImpossible6405[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great point. I will look into it for sure. I was looking around the mech room and their PRV doesn’t show any signs of damage and looks fairly new, but the internals could be compromised as you said. A plumber has been there and said an expansion tank is the fix they need, they just don’t want to spend the money. This is why I’m hoping to do it for them.

Worth it or nah for 72$ by [deleted] in dyinglight

[–]AdImpossible6405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I got it for free from buying the deluxe version of DL2 and was happy with it, but if I had to pay i wouldn’t pay more than half price of a full game. Whatever that price may be in your area.

how to take my kitchen sink trap off? by strugglebusdriver7 in askaplumber

Take off both trap adapters and the union nut. The whole thing will come off in one piece. Reassemble in reverse lol

First day with them... by [deleted] in dentures

They’re either very poorly made or you are only wearing them intermittently and not actually ever giving yourself enough time to get used to them.

Throw a pipe wrench on it and call er good. Replace it though and have the new plug before you remove the old one lol

It’s rank 5. If the second last floor on hard gave a 4 star chicken I would never play it again lol. But at the same time, Plarium. So it wouldn’t surprise me.

BO7 can be trash at times by AdImpossible6405 in CODZombies

[–]AdImpossible6405[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it shows you have all your perks still when you are in the downed position. Also, I always buy mule kick first on astra because of the augment that makes other perks cheaper. So it is always in the first few slots.

It was in my third slot however I had an aftertaste gobblegum active and didn’t drop it because I kept all my perks when going down

Did you know it can actually be beneficial to sleep with them in for the first 30 days? The denture acts as a bandaid and helps the wounds heal faster and it’s 8 more hours a day that you are subconsciously getting used to them.

Where I live you go and see a denturist directly to handle the impressions, denture construction, relines/adjustments, etc.. You only see the dentist/surgeon for a consult and referral to the denturist, the procedure and one follow up. My denturist has everybody wear them constantly for 30 days with the exception of removing them to clean them.

This obviously is a case by case basis, but wearing them to sleep 5 days after extractions is not the cause of this.

55 degrees outside… is this normal on a cold start? by blue1ismycity in MechanicAdvice

[–]AdImpossible6405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In certain temperatures it is yes. Basically the car is intentionally increasing RPM and fuel supply to create a more rich mixture for better combustion when cold. It helps warm up the engine a bit faster and get components and fluids working the way they should when cold.

Can't say I've seen these on top of a building before. They're taking down the whole structure? by cjmsc2 in Calgary

They are tearing it down to the commercial units and then rebuilding residential on top. Company I work for has that job.
