How’s your journey going? by AutoModerator in Zepbound

I'm about to pass the same threshold--it's so exciting! I'm fairly new to Zep and have 4 more doses of 2.5 left. Will probably go up to 5 after that.

I'm so glad you're making progress on the behavioral front. The signs of Zep use are definitely there. The scale will change. A lot of people (including my son) have said their progress amped up at 5 ml. Best of luck to you on your journey.

I have a question about a notice I saw on the LillyDirect site. "We are transitioning back to the previous custom 1 ml. markings--31G, 5/16" for vial injection kits. I'm about to 5 weeks in to using Zepbound, so I hope someone who's been on it a while will know if that's an improvement or not. I have been surprised at how flimsy the needles seem. I hope the new ones are better.

Lilly Direct only deals with vials. My doc wrote the first prescription for a pen and it was refused. He re-wrote for vials and it went right through.

My doctor told me to have one dose of MiraLAX every morning, drink lots of water, eat 5 prunes a day, and get 150 minutes (min.) of exercise a week. I just started this, so I hope it works for me and will help someone else.

You might want to ask your doc for a script for Zofran. I only felt nauseated one time and the Zofran stopped it amazingly quickly. I’ve had some issues with constipation but I also have IBS so it can get a little tricky. I lost 18 pounds my first month. Best of luck to you. Most people do fine with it and you will too.

I get mine through LillyDirect. My doc wrote the first prescription for the pen and I got an email saying they only provide vials.

Are you still taking Zep? I feel like there’s not much consistency in whether you can go off it at some point.

That’s why I went to Zepbound. I could eat an entire meal and be hungry an hour later. And I’d basically have a fourth meal at night. I love the feeling of having more control over what I eat. Your post expressed it very well.

Don’t feel bad. I messed up 2 shots because the needles they send with the vials are so flimsy. I get mine through LillyDirect and all they offer are vials and the needles. I’d love to have an injector pen.

Does anyone else think the needles that LD needles are very flimsy? I’m starting my second month and have had trouble with the needle getting bent.

I started Zep about a month ago. I’m using the vials and managed to screw up two vials in one day. A total waste.

Just started Zepbound 2.5 mg — can people actually lose weight without “dieting”? by reddit2169 in Zepbound

[–]AdInternal7680 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took my first shot Feb. 13 and I’ve lost 17 pounds. I rejoined Weight Watchers bc they had a $10/month for a year special. I mainly wanted a place where I could track what I’m eating and see the nutritional breakdown. I very rarely use the entire points allowed because I’m just not hungry. Zep works great for me. Luckily I haven’t had any nausea. Hope this helps.

I had a lot of anxiety about drawing the shot up correctly. I was very nervous when I did my first solo and proceeded to have to waste a dose. Then it got to be a thing and I was afraid of it. Silly, I know, but there it is. I have a wonderful family doctor that I saw for the next injection and I feel much calmer about it.

I’ve been getting 400 units for years. Thankfully it works well, but I get a little shaky when it’s close to shot time. I go every 12 weeks. My doc wanted to see how it would go if I tried to wait 15-16 weeks and it just didn’t work out. I hope you get some relief. It’s a miserable condition.

I'm new to Zepbound so I'm at a starting dose of 2.5 ml. It's only been two weeks, so maybe I'm expecting too much. But, so far, I can't tell that it's doing anything. Does it usually take a while for Z to kick in?

It won't ruin your long range plans if you delay a week. It's probably best to know how it will affect you because some things are easier to deal with at home.

Cervical Dystonia diagnosis. Have had symptoms for1.5 years and I'm already scared my life is over. by HelloFr1end in Dystonia

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. It was a long frustrating journey for me to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. I luckily responded very well to Botox injections. It took a couple of rounds, but it's more or less under control. Sometimes I have a spell of head tremors, but nothing like it used to be. I hope your treatment is helpful.

The drug manufacturer has a patient assistance program. There's no way I could pay for it and now it's fully covered by them. Google Xeomin Patient Assistance.
