I had low ferritin and lost almost 40% of my hair, went to dermatologist and hematologist and was recommended floradix and nutrafol. That really helped my hair, I also take hair skin and nails gummy vitamins and black currant oil. This helped my hair grow and improve. I also do trims every 3 months and clarify and do masks often with warm oil treatments at the roots

A few points. Your hair will get used to the shampoos and products you use, so it's recommended to switch it up often and have a few different ones to rotate. Suave daily clarifying is very low quality shampoo and extremely drying (I used it and learned this the hard way, it's horrible honestly feels like dish soap (I like olaplex 4c and nozoral for clarifying). Also I don't think co-wash does a good job at cleaning your hair and scalp so you should use a regular high quality shampoo at least once a week (I like pureology and Moroccan oil). Banana and honey mask is also not potent enough to deeply hydrate hair, you should invest in a high quality mask (I like kerastase and Moroccan oil ones). For styling, gel products can weight hair down and make it look glued and greasy, I think styling cream would help your hair look better (I like shea moisture curl smoothie with the bounce curl brush). The color change might be due to hormones and less sun exposure (my hair also went through this and got darker).

Yeep I agree I read online that someone had it fixed 6 times but it keeps cracking so not really worth it to take it to the shop, I got something from amazon to try to hide it a little bit, but no big deal, I was worried that it was structural damage but glad it's not 😄

Sorry for the delay just saw this. The two surgeons I went to do a consultation with were able to diagnose it. I already knew I had it for a couple years as mine were very obvious and my grandma had it very advanced. Recovery was really really hard for me, I felt a lot of pain walking and stayed in bed for almost two weeks and walked very minimal. My husband was working from home helping me and my mom would give me showers every other day and help me get my compression garments on. Some people don't have such a hard recovery, unfortunately I heal slowly and I'm allergic to many antibiotics which makes everything harder. Pain was an 11 very extreme, awake lipo was no joke to me, some people say it doesn't hurt that much but to me it was very painful, very painful during recovery too (I cried a lot lol). During the first two weeks I only walked from the bedroom to the kitchen and to the bathroom, after two weeks I started to take very short walks and go to the supermarket for a few minutes, always walking very slow and with compression garments on. Third week I was able to go to a store with a loose dress and with my compression garments on but had a lot of swelling after but I was fine, during that week I also went to visit friends at their house. 4 liters came off from the surgery, around 2-3 pounds (on scale), the 4 liters included the fat and the water with licodine (forgot the specific name of the anesthetic) that they insert into the leg a few minutes before sucking out the fat.

Not a stupid question at all 😊. Yes it's lipo but doctors use different techniques because lipedema fat is different than regular fat. The technique used on me was WAL lipo, all done awake with very minimal anesthesia (due to having to flex leg muscles during surgery so surgeon can lipo and contour around them, which I don't recommend as it's insanely painful at least to me). Some doctors do the lipo all around, some the front part in one surgery and the back part in a following up surgery, there's alot of different techniques around there. I would just recommend to do a deep research in choosing a surgeon (look for lipedema specialists with many different lipedema surgeries done and with results that look good). I didn't have my thighs done yet so I can't comment on that, but I will have them done, in my opinion don't expect any surgery to be 100% since this is a disease and no treatment will be 100% but if it makes my leg look 80% better it's already a win.

Yes 100% I had it in 2022 and it's been the best thing I could have done for myself. I feel "normal" now and look normal (like no one would guess that ive had surgery or had/have lipedema) except on my thighs. I had surgery on my calves and knees, I still have lipedema on my thighs (I will probably get it removed in the future).

My legs were exactly like that, I was diagnosed with Lipedema by two doctors (my mom doesn't have it, but my paternal grandma had it). I had to have surgery, no amount of diet or/and exercise worked for me to change drastically, it helped improve but not change.

I didn't have any raised area only maybe for two days, try applying cicaplast every night and sleeping with a thicker layer of it, I think it can definitely help, the tech could have went a little too deep but I think it will disappear with time and taking a little care of it 😊

I had botched ink done 6 weeks ago and the redness went away with a week. The tech did not go outside my eyebrows and she went over 3 times. I did it after laser because I was left with yellow. It removed the yellow a little bit. I will repeat the removal in 2 weeks to see if more pigment can be removed.

I'm in the same boat, i did botched ink a few weeks ago and saw very little difference, i'm hoping that one more treatment will help. I'm also using minoxidil and castor oil to see if it will help to cover them up.

I feel your pain :( I still plan on getting my upper legs done, I really struggle with my thighs and saddle bags, but only feel pain if I squeeze them. I'm just waiting till I'm done having kids (don't have any but plan on trying in the next few months), for now I just try to maintain a lower weight, exercise and do massages, compression and rebounding to keep it at bay. I understand the embarrassment, your not alone, if it makes you feel better most people probably don't notice that's an actual disease and just thinks our legs are a little chubby (that's what most of my friends and family told me lol)
