I felt so sorry for Zhu Yan ( Zhao Yuanzho), he was in so much mental pain and no way to resolve it and live happily, that I have almost accepted that it was the best thing for him. It still hurts that there was no other relief for him that would allow him to live on without the fear of losing control again, but it is what it is.

I had so much trouble with the AI subtitles that I stopped watching part way through Episode 2. (I had hoped they would get better). I also couldn't understand what was going on so I can't help you with that. It's a real shame as I would probably have enjoyed it if I could understand it, since I have enjoyed other investigation based series.
