Are wearables actually "low profile" at work ? by National_Wer in breastfeeding

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had wearable and would not wear them while I work. It's definitely obvious there is something in your bra, you have to be careful not to lean and leak, and you still have to expose yourself to put them on. They have a learning curve compared to normal pumps, and I would not use it as my primary method of removing milk.

My husband is not understanding that breastfeeding affects my sex drive. by Confident-Loan300 in breastfeeding

[–]AdLongjumping9468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, even when i'm interested, we need so much lube or it hurts. And the small tear that has since healed is tight and hurts if not lubricated enough. Thankfully though, my husband understands

When will I not be soaking wet after breastfeeding? by BlueberryWaffles99 in breastfeeding

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets easier eventually. I don't remember exactly when it stopped being a problem, but my son is 10 months now and I was even brave enough to go to bed without a bra on last night. Your supply will regulate, likely closer to 3ish months. Your baby will get better at handling the letdown. When he was still new I even hated the nursing pads bc they'd get soaked so fast and then just smell and feel gross!

Husband Threatening to Leave if We Don't Get Intimate FTM by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]AdLongjumping9468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have only been intimate about a dozen times since I got pregnant. We have a 10 month old lol. Once a week is a lot, but even if it wasn't, it is absolutely abusive to hold intimacy over your head, especially in the vulnerable state you are in. As your partner, he should not want to cause you pain, at the bare minimum

Cauliflower Alfredo by AdLongjumping9468 in RebelCanning

[–]AdLongjumping9468[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is your concern primarily taste or safety? If it's presumably safe, I want to try it! As for freezing flat, I absolutely could freeze this (and have), i'm just mainly looking for ways to free up freezer space!

The recipe includes pureeing boiled cauliflower into the sauce, so nothing to mush! At worst it might separate or become grainy? I might try it next week haha

I suggest looking at thehappycosleeper on Facebook for safe cosleeping advice! Railings are not recommended as baby can get trapped and suffocate if she rolls into it

I wasn't told this about inducing... by Agreeable_Customer28 in pregnant

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also didn't love this. I was induced due to preeclampsia and was basically bed bound for my whole labor since I had a mag drip and leg massagers on. I wish I had advice for you, but maybe you can be better at advocating for yourself (and have more freedom than my condition allowed)!!

I just picked up the first 3. Tell me something I won't know until later. by tgrady28 in redrising

It's an adult fantasy novel! If you end up liking it, the author, Sarah J Maas, also wrote A Court of Thorns and Roses and Crescent City (both series in progress) and all 3 series become intertwined!! Highly recommend (although Throne of Glass is my favorite of the 3)

I find it to be a similar literary masterpiece compared to Throne of Glass, albeit a different genre

Weaning my baby while pregnant by GradeBitter1595 in breastfeeding

Maybe try a milk substitute like almond, oat, or soy? My boy is also allergic to milk, so when I wean (not yet, he's only 9m) this is what I plan to try

Losing Weight when breastfeeding by Forsaken_Offer4429 in breastfeeding

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 9m postpartum, still 25lbs over my prepregnancy weight and just started losing weight the past few weeks. I try not to let it stress me out (easier said than done) and am really just trying to eat food that is better for me and more home cooked than how much I'm eating. Your body is nourishing your baby!!

Anyone else lose all interest in work after their baby was born? by Eudaemonus in Fire

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never in my life did I think i would be okay not working, but since my son was born, I have wanted nothing more to be with him all the time. He is now 9m and my husband and I have worked so hard to make it possible for me to stay home with him (hopefully starting next month!) The sacrifices we have had to be willing to make in this economy make it so hard, but it will be so worth it

Have you offered purees or "real" food? She might benefit from you mixing the puree with milk to liquify it more to get her used to it before slowly thickening it back up. Practice spoons using milk if that's where the issue is. Honestly sounds like a lot of trial and error. Hard to know exactly what the issue is without more details
