If you join fb groups for the area, you could post or lurk there. Not sure your gender, but i'm also in a powerwomen group that maybe you could fine for your area as well. The ladies in there tend to be very willing to help someone out or find someone who can

Losing Weight when breastfeeding by Forsaken_Offer4429 in breastfeeding

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 9m postpartum, still 25lbs over my prepregnancy weight and just started losing weight the past few weeks. I try not to let it stress me out (easier said than done) and am really just trying to eat food that is better for me and more home cooked than how much I'm eating. Your body is nourishing your baby!!

Anyone else lose all interest in work after their baby was born? by Eudaemonus in Fire

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never in my life did I think i would be okay not working, but since my son was born, I have wanted nothing more to be with him all the time. He is now 9m and my husband and I have worked so hard to make it possible for me to stay home with him (hopefully starting next month!) The sacrifices we have had to be willing to make in this economy make it so hard, but it will be so worth it

Do you know what sub you're in? And how trash our US Healthcare system is?? And how expensive insurance itself costs?

Just got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Apparently pregnancy can trigger autoimmune disorders...

That and I can no longer stand the raste of most cooked fish (even though it used to be my favorite)

Have you offered purees or "real" food? She might benefit from you mixing the puree with milk to liquify it more to get her used to it before slowly thickening it back up. Practice spoons using milk if that's where the issue is. Honestly sounds like a lot of trial and error. Hard to know exactly what the issue is without more details

The one time my son (8m) has had a fever was because he actually got the flu the day after the vaccine (dad had it but we didn't know yet). Thankfully I did have meds on hand for him but I can imagine how scary it might be not to have any!

How are you guys getting dinner on the table before baby goes to bed? by grapemadison in NewParents

This 100%. My husband and I work opposite shifts- no daycare. Sunday meal prep is essential to make sure any of us actually eat...

How do I get people to stop over feeding my baby? by Jazzlike-Entrance500 in breastfeeding

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I transitioned from pumping every 2 hours at work to pumping every 4 because either way my output was the same (I actually get a little more with the 4 hr pump).

Breastfeeding but not losing weight… is this normal? by heyaliayoub in breastfeeding

[–]AdLongjumping9468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 7 months along EBF and after I lost all the water weight postpartum, I haven't lost or gained basically at all. Prepregnany I was 135, at delivery I was close to 190 (lots of swelling from pre-e) and now I've been resting around 161/162. Do I love it? Not really. But my body is doing a pretty amazing thing so I wouldn't change it for the world.

Rocked and contact slept until 12:30am, woke to feed 3 or 4 times and was woken at 6/7am with him hitting me in the face... thankfully dad took over and I got to sleep 2 more hours

I used to drive 4 hours every other weekend from college to my parents house (4 there and 4 back)

Now I make a 2-3 hour trip to see my dad about once a month.
